Telephone session initiation system
A method is presented that allows for coordination between parties wanting to communicate. The method serves to replace the current ‘synchronous’ method of phone session initiation (which allows random people to interrupt one's flow) with a system that allows both parties to indicate when they are ready and willing to communicate with particular parties. Instead of a first party directly calling a second party, both indicate readiness to talk to each other by means of (for instance) status indicators on a smartphone, thereby eliminating the obtrusive nature of the time-limited phone ring. The method also includes an apparatus that determines which is the optimal party to actually place the call such that overall expenses may be minimized.
Method and system for sharing Wi-Fi in a Wi-Fi network using a cloud platform
The invention provides a method and system for sharing Wi-Fi in a Wi-Fi network using a cloud platform. To start with, the method and system enables registration of one or more Wi-Fi access points on the cloud platform and enables a client device to rent a Wi-Fi connection from owner of a Wi-Fi access point. Subsequently, the method and system enables the client device to select a Wi-Fi access point registered on the cloud platform based on usage fee, properties and signal quality. Further, the method and system performs offload optimization using an AI module by deciding whether data offloading from licensed spectrum to unlicensed spectrum is desirable or not. In response to deciding that data offload is desirable, the client device is allowed to connect to the selected Wi-Fi access point and transact with the Wi-Fi access point owner using cryptocurrencies in a blockchain-based network.
System, method, and computer program for transmitting network communications at a point in time automatically determined based on communication rates
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for transmitting network communications at a point in time automatically determined based on communication rates. In use, a communication to be transmitted over a network is identified, utilizing a device. Additionally, a point in time at which to transmit the communication over the network is automatically determined by the device, utilizing at least one rate for the communication. Further, transmission of the communication over the network is initiated at the determined point in time, utilizing the device.
Session Establishment with a Local Serving Network
There is provided mechanisms for establishing a communication session with a local serving network. A method is performed by a terminal device. The method comprises obtaining an indication of traffic to be communicated. The traffic is associated with a traffic descriptor. The method comprises selecting a URSP rule for the traffic to be communicated in a communication session with the local serving network. The URSP rule is selected in accordance with the traffic descriptor and in accordance with a validity condition for the communication session. The validity condition at least pertains to network support for IMS in the local serving network. The method comprises establishing a communication session with the local serving network for communicating the traffic according to the selected URSP rule.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SMART NETWORK CONNECTION MANAGEMENT
A mobile device is provided. The mobile device includes a memory configured to store a plurality of applications, a communication circuit including a first communication module and a second communication module, and a processor electrically connected with the communication circuit. The processor is configured to execute an application among the plurality of applications, determine a communication state of the first network and a communication state of the second network in response to executing the application, select one of the first network and the second network based on the communication state of the first network, the communication state of the second network, a tariff applied to the mobile device, a service policy applied to the application, performance criteria applied to the application, and network selection criteria, and download data from a server associated with the application using the selected network.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SHIFTING CALL HANDLING ACROSS MULTI-REGION SERVICE CLUSTERS
A system for handling calls in a network includes a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations include receiving information about the calls for a time interval, determining, for the time interval, a total cost associated with handling the calls, including a network cost associated with transmitting data over the network, a processing cost for processing the information related to the calls, and a cost of dynamically reassigning master and slave roles to a plurality of nodes in the network. The operations further include determining an assignment of the master and slave roles for a plurality of accounts being handled by the plurality of nodes that results in the total cost having a minimum value, and implementing the optimal assignment among the plurality of the accounts based on the determination.
Methods and systems of using remote subscriber identification modules at a device
The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first.

Configuring Route Selection Policies
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for configuring route selection policies. A user device may send, to a computing device, a route selection policy request to update route selection policy rules for applications and/or services of the user device. The computing device may determine the route selection policy rules for the applications and/or services based on various criteria. The computing device may send the determined route selection policy rules to the user device. If the user device does not accept the determined route selection policy rules, the user device may send, to the computing device, a negotiation request to obtain other route selection policy rules for the applications and/or services.
Selective service control to mobile IP network
Systems and methods are described for managing services of a computing device over a mobile network where requests for managed or unmanaged services are translated to corresponding IP addresses sent to the computing device and corresponding requests sent to the translated IP addresses are either permitted, rated, quality controlled or secured if the computing device has a valid data plan or is otherwise permissioned for using the mobile network, are denied if filtered and if the computing device does not have a valid data plan or is not otherwise permissioned and the request corresponds to the first address, and are permitted, rated, quality controlled or not secured even if the computing device does not have a valid data plan or is not otherwise permissioned if the request corresponds to the second address.
