Method and system of generating a call agent avatar using artificial intelligence
A method and system may generate a call agent avatar for responding to insurance-related inquiries. A user's client device such as a smart-phone, smart watch, or tablet computer, may receive an insurance-related inquiry or banking-related inquiry from the user. Several data sources may be utilized to automatically determine a response to the insurance-related inquiry or banking-related inquiry, and a call agent avatar may be displayed on the user's client device while the response is displayed/played by the client device. The call agent avatar may be animated to move in synchronization with the response so that it appears the call agent avatar is providing the response to the user.
Two-way communication support system and storage medium
A two-way communication support system supports two-way communication between a second terminal device which receives, from a first terminal device, first state data changed according to the state of a first user present on a side where the first terminal device is arranged and which outputs an image and a voice indicated by the first state data and the first terminal device. The two-way communication support system includes a state identifier and an output controller. The state identifier analyzes second state data changed according to the state of a second user present on a side where the second terminal device is arranged so as to identify the state of the second user. The output controller causes the first terminal device to output analysis information indicating a result of the identification of the state of the second user performed by the state identifier.
System and method for providing interaction between a user and an embodied conversational agent
This disclosure relates generally to human-machine interaction. In one embodiment, an interaction device for providing the interaction between the user and the ECA is disclosed. The interaction device comprises a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory stores processor instructions, which, on execution, causes the processor to receive conversation data of a user interacting with the ECA, wherein the ECA is presented on an interface of the interaction device. The processor further determines an emotional state of the user based on one or more behavioral parameters associated with the conversation data of the user. The processor identifies a response state for the ECA corresponding to the emotional state of the user, wherein the response state is identified from a plurality of response states based on a pre-defined probability for each response state. The processor further transitions behavior of the ECA based on the response state.
Communicating between a virtual area and a physical space
Apparatus transmits an identifier for association with a virtual area by an administering network service, generates output data from human perceptible stimulus in a physical space, transmits the output data in connection with the virtual area, receives input data associated with the virtual area, and generates human perceptible stimulus in the physical space from the input data. A persistent association is created between the apparatus and a virtual area. A respective presence is established in the virtual area for a communicant operating a client network node connected to the virtual area. A respective connection between each active pair of complementary sources and sinks of the client network node and the apparatus are administered in association with the virtual area. A client network node displays a graphical user interface, establishes the administered connections, and presents interaction controls associated with the object for interacting with communicants in the physical space.
Virtual photorealistic digital actor system for remote service of customers
A system for remote servicing of customers includes an interactive display unit at the customer location providing two-way audio/visual communication with a remote service/sales agent, wherein communication inputted by the agent is delivered to customers via a virtual Digital Actor on the display. The system also provides for remote customer service using physical mannequins with interactive capability having two-way audio visual communication ability with the remote agent, wherein communication inputted by the remote service or sales agent is delivered to customers using the physical mannequin. A web solution integrates the virtual Digital Actor system into a business website. A smart phone solution provides the remote service to customers via an App. In another embodiment, the Digital Actor is instead displayed as a 3D hologram. The Digital Actor is also used in an e-learning solution, in a movie studio suite, and as a presenter on TV, online, or other broadcasting applications.
Avatar Spatial Modes
Avatars may be displayed in a multiuser communication session using various spatial modes. One technique for presenting avatars includes presenting avatars such that an attention direction of the avatar is retargeted to match the intent of the remote user corresponding to the avatar. Another technique for presenting avatars includes a pinned mode in which a spatial relationship between one or more avatars remains displayed in a consistent spatial relationship to a local user regardless of movements of the local user. Another technique for presenting avatars includes providing user-selectable presentation modes between a room scale mode and a stationary mode for presenting a representation of a multiuser communication session.

Presenting a message in a communication session
Techniques for presenting a message in a communication session are described. In at least some embodiments, a message is sent by a participant in a communication session. The message is presented in a graphical user interface (GUI) for the communication session and visually linked to a visual representation of the participant. According to one or more implementations, a number of messages that are presented in a GUI for a communication session is throttled.
