When the subscription configuration is implemented, the printer restrictively controls, at least temporarily, use of the printing material resource that is installed on the printer. When the trade use configuration is implemented, the printer provides for less or no control over the use of the printing material resource.

Example systems and related methods may relate to monitoring performance of an image forming operation. Namely, a system includes an image forming apparatus configured to execute an operation in response to receiving instructions to execute the operation. The system further includes an external sensor circuit that includes one or more sensors and a processor. The one or more sensors are configured to detect a status of an operational parameter of the image forming apparatus indicative of the image forming apparatus executing the operation and receive an instruction to exclude at least a portion of data used to detect the status of the operational parameter. The system further includes a host computing device. The host computing device is configured to generate a plurality of timestamps indicative of when the image forming apparatus executed the operation and a time frame when the external sensor circuit excluded data.

A management server that manages a network device (e.g., an MFP) using NETCONF registers, in the MFP, designation of a condition under which the MFP is to notify the management server of an event, receives, from the MFP, a first notification indicating that a transition is made from a first state in which a session enabling the event notification is established to a second state in which the session needs to be disconnected and a second notification indicating return to the first state, and re-registers the designation of the condition in the MFP in response to reception of the second notification.

Example systems and related methods may relate to monitoring performance of an image forming operation. The host computing device is configured to generate a plurality of timestamps indicative of when the image forming apparatus executed the operation and a time frame when the external sensor circuit excluded data.

An image forming apparatus includes: a first memory for temporarily storing therein image data output to an image forming unit; a data processing processor for reading the image data; a second memory for temporarily storing therein the image data; and a main processor for causing the data processing processor to sequentially read the image data, wherein the data processing processor includes: data transfer units; a transfer control unit; and a table, the main processor sets a start address and a size and instructs the transfer control unit to activate the data transfer units, the transfer control unit divides a size of image data and sets a start address and a size of divided image data, the data transfer units read corresponding image data and output it to the second memory, and the transfer control unit subsequently controls the data transfer units and notifies the transfer completion to the main processor.
