An interface is configured to receive print settings and a test printing command. A controller is configured to control the document feeder to feed pages of the document according to the print settings when the test printing command is received, acquire image data of the pages of the document fed by the document feeder, and control the printing apparatus to print images in a test printing. The images in the test printing comprising image data of the pages of the document fed by the document feeder.
Image reading device, image generating device, and recording medium
The present disclosure pertains to an image reading device that may include an image reader, an operation detector, a correction parameter adjuster, an entry detector, and a document reading controller. The image reader may read an image on a document. The operation detector may detect an operation indicating a start of a reading of the image on the document. The correction parameter adjuster may perform adjustment of a correction parameter. The entry detector may detect entry of a document reading instruction including a reading condition. The document reading controller may check for completion of the adjustment of the correction parameter for the reading condition. If the adjustment of the correction parameter is not completed, the document reading controller may instruct the correction parameter adjuster to perform adjustment of an uncompleted correction parameter and instruct the image reader to read the image.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image forming system for forming an image includes a storage unit that stores a log of the image forming system, and a controller to detect an abnormality of the image forming system based on the content of the log stored in the storage unit, and the controller controls to execute a recovery process of the image forming system according to a detection result of the abnormality. In this configuration, the image forming system detects complicated abnormality that occurs according to series of flows.
Quality monitoring arrangement and method in an industrial printer system
The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by an image capturing device for handling printed information on an information carrier. The image capturing device dynamically determines at least part of print information that should be printed on the information carrier by an industrial printer. When the print information has been printed on the information carrier by the industrial printer, the image capturing device captures an image of at least part of the print information on the information carrier.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVELY SENDING, DELIVERY AND RECEIVING OF FAXES
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes an operation unit having a display device, and includes a sensor to detect an abnormality of the operation unit. Where the sensor detects an operation unit abnormality, display data is generated for performing display including an error notification regarding the detected abnormality. The generated display data is provided to at least one of the display device and an information processing apparatus. In a case where (i) first data for performing display includes the error notification, includes an instruction portion to receive an instruction to continuously use the image processing apparatus, and is provided as provided display data, and (ii) an instruction to continuously use the image processing apparatus is received via the instruction portion, screen data is provided, in place of the generated display data, the provided display data for displaying a screen for using an the image processing apparatus function.
RECONSTRUCTION OF SURFACES FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Tracking of measured depth with intervening depositing of one or more layers provides a way of improving the accuracy of surface reconstruction. For example, knowledge of the desired or expected thickness of each layer, in combination with the scan data is combined to yield higher accuracy than is available from scan data of a single scan alone. One application of such an accurate surface reconstruction is in a feedback arrangement in which the desired thickness of one or more subsequent layers to be deposited after scanning is determined from the estimate of the surface depth and a model of the object that is being fabricated, and by increasing accuracy of the surface depth estimate, the precision of the fabrication of the object may be increased.
System and method for diagnosing parts of a printing device to be replaced based on incident rate
A method to diagnosis an electro-mechanical part on an image forming device comprising: determining an incident count for a first time interval for the electro-mechanical part; determining a first threshold level for the first time interval; monitoring the electro-mechanical part for a second time interval, wherein the second time interval is a plurality of first time intervals; determining if the incident count for a first portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part equal to or less than the first threshold; determining if the incident count for a second portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part is equal to or less than the first threshold when the incident count for the first portion of the second time interval fails to exceed the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; determining a maximum incident count for the second portion of the second time interval when the incident count for the second portion of the second time interval exceeds the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; calculating an error ratio between an average incident count of the first portion of the second time interval and the maximum incident count of the second portion of the second time interval; and marking the electro-mechanical part as needing to be one of repaired or serviced when the error ratio exceeds an error ratio threshold level.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a first storage unit having a semiconductor memory, a second storage unit, an acquisition unit that acquires temperature information indicating a temperature in the first storage unit, a comparison unit that compares the temperature information acquired by the acquisition unit with a threshold, and a control unit. Based on the temperature information indicating a temperature below the threshold, the control unit causes the first storage unit to store data. Based on the temperature information indicating a temperature at or above the threshold, the control unit causes the second storage unit to store data without causing the first storage unit to store the data.
