MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Setting information set for a plurality of print jobs to be executed by the printing apparatus is acquired. Based on the acquired setting information, a profile to be used in a color check process executed for corresponding each print job included in the plurality of print jobs is decided. In response to detecting that execution of a target print job that is one of the plurality of print jobs is instructed, a color check process is executed using the profile decided to be used for the target print job before the execution of the target print job is started. In accordance with a result of the color check process, executing the target print job is started.

An image recording device includes a recorder, a reader and a hardware processor. The recorder records an image on a recording medium. The reader reads, with an imaging element, a surface of the recording medium and a surface of a predetermined reference member. The hardware processor calibrates the reader for a value to be detected by the imaging element, based on a reading result of the reading of the surface of the reference member. Further, the hardware processor performs the calibration in at least one of: a case where a type of the image to be recorded on the recording medium satisfies a predetermined image type condition; and a case where a predetermined reading influence factor which affects a reading result of the reading of the surface of the recording medium satisfies a predetermined reading influence factor condition.

A method to diagnosis an electro-mechanical part on an image forming device comprising: determining an incident count for a first time interval for the electro-mechanical part; determining a first threshold level for the first time interval; monitoring the electro-mechanical part for a second time interval, wherein the second time interval is a plurality of first time intervals; determining if the incident count for a first portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part equal to or less than the first threshold; determining if the incident count for a second portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part is equal to or less than the first threshold when the incident count for the first portion of the second time interval fails to exceed the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; determining a maximum incident count for the second portion of the second time interval when the incident count for the second portion of the second time interval exceeds the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; calculating an error ratio between an average incident count of the first portion of the second time interval and the maximum incident count of the second portion of the second time interval; and marking the electro-mechanical part as needing to be one of repaired or serviced when the error ratio exceeds an error ratio threshold level.
Image forming apparatus and image forming method
According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus, comprises a document feeder to feed a document page by page, a scanner to scan the document fed by the document feeder and generate image data of the document, a printing apparatus to print images on recording media. An interface is configured to receive print settings and a test printing command. A controller is configured to control the document feeder to feed pages of the document according to the print settings when the test printing command is received, acquire image data of the pages of the document fed by the document feeder, and control the printing apparatus to print images in a test printing. The images in the test printing comprising image data of the pages of the document fed by the document feeder.
System and method for selectively sending, delivery and receiving of faxes
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE-FORMING METHOD
The invention provides an image-forming apparatus that includes a printer that performs printing, and a controller that determines, on a basis of settings related to a print job, whether to execute the print job as a print job related to test printing or execute the print job as a normal print job, and causes the printer to perform printing, in which the settings related to the print job include a plurality of items, and one or more combinations of a setting of another item with respect to a setting of one item are set as recommended settings, and, when the print job includes a setting of the another item other than the recommended settings with respect to the setting of the one item, the controller determines that the print job is a print job related to test printing.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and image forming program configured to process image forming following jam
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that performs image forming processing to a plurality of sheets included in each of a plurality of sheet groups; and a hardware processor that detects occurrence of a jam, wherein the image former completes the image forming processing to each of the plurality of sheets included in a sheet group not including a jammed sheet that has generated the jam.
Malfunction determining apparatus, malfunction determining system, malfunction determining method, and recording medium
A malfunction determining apparatus for determining a malfunction of a target apparatus includes a receiver that receives, from a target apparatus, a plurality of items of physical data having frequency bands that are different from each other and circuitry that analyzes the received physical data to identify, for each of the operating modes, at least one of the physical data items having a specific feature from among the plurality of items of physical data that are received from the target apparatus, stores in a memory, for each of the operating modes, information indicating at least one sensor of the multiple sensors that has output the at least one of the physical data item that is identified, and determines abnormality of the target apparatus operating in a specific operating mode, using only the physical data output from the at least one sensor stored in the memory for the specific operating mode.
