A business method includes imaging documents with an imaging device placed at a location. Media usage is monitored over a cellular network. Upon the media reaching a predetermined level, workers provide additional media. Workers exist in the gig economy and have preplaced media. No longer do users change or swap media in media trays. Packaging materials bundle the media. For use, only a portion of the packaging materials is opened thereby revealing an end of the media. Both the packaging materials and the exposed media are inserted into a reusable media shell in a manner making the media available for picking by the imaging device. Other embodiments are envisioned.

Techniques for use in messaging from a portable communication device having a camera module are described. A mobile terminal improved in operability concerning fax transmission. A CPU of the mobile terminal sets information indicative of a fax transmission destination, sets reading and transmission information concerning fax transmission and original reading, and sends a request for fax transmission, to an image forming apparatus. A communication terminal communicates with an image forming apparatus to be moved on a medium to perform image formation. The communication terminal includes a display and circuitry configured to receive a notification from the image forming apparatus and to display a preview of an image to be formed by the image forming apparatus. The circuitry is further configured to distinguish, on the preview, one of a plurality of lines included in the image to be formed from a rest of the plurality of lines in accordance with a content of the notification and display operation aiding information for aiding an operation of the image forming apparatus in accordance with the content of the notification.
