Systems and methods are provided for processing and extracting content from an image captured using a mobile device. In one embodiment, an image is captured by a mobile device and corrected to improve the quality of the image. The corrected image is then further processed by adjusting the image, identifying the format and layout of the document, binarizing the image and extracting the content using optical character recognition (OCR). Multiple methods of image adjusting may be implemented to accurately assess features of the document, and a secondary layout identification process may be performed to ensure that the content being extracted is properly classified.

Real-time evaluation and enhancement of image quality prior to capturing an image of a document on a mobile device is provided. An image capture process is initiated on a mobile device during which a user of the mobile device prepares to capture the image of the document, utilizing hardware and software on the mobile device to measure and achieve optimal parameters for image capture. Feedback may be provided to a user of the mobile device to instruct the user on how to manually optimize certain parameters relating to image quality, such as the angle, motion and distance of the mobile device from the document. When the optimal parameters for image capture of the document are achieved, at least one image of the document is automatically captured by the mobile device.

An information processing apparatus sets a color mode in place of a monochrome mode on condition that the monochrome mode and multiplexing of additional information on a print target image are set as print settings based on an input image data; generates, based on the input image data, color image data corresponding to printing in a color mode which represents a color of the monochromated print target image by a value of a color signal; performs, for the color image data generated by the generation unit, processing for multiplexing the additional information on the print target image; and causes a printing apparatus to print, in the color mode, a multiplexed image on which the additional information is multiplexed.

A controller of an image processor, when detecting a portable terminal device's presence, accepts a selecting operation to select whether or not to refer to an address book held by a portable terminal device (step S32), when accepting the request for referring to the address book, establishes a near field communication with the portable terminal device (Step S34), and acquires, from the portable terminal device, the destination information in the address book (Step S35). An information processing apparatus operating as a virtual network computing (VNC) server includes a memory and at least one processor in communication with the memory, wherein the at least one processor of the information processing apparatus is configured to perform, in a case where a request for a VNC connection is received from a second VNC client in a state in which the information processing apparatus is connected with a first VNC client using VNC, first connection control to maintain the connection with the first VNC client and not to establish a VNC connection with the second VNC client, or second connection control to cut off the connection with the first VNC client and to establish the VNC connection with the second VNC client.

If the received predetermined information indicates that the input screen is to be displayed, the input screen is displayed on a display included in an information processing apparatus.

A printing apparatus acquires an incoming direction and reception strength of a signal received from another apparatus, and performs predetermined processing relating to printing based on the acquired incoming direction and the acquired reception strength.

A wind direction indicator includes a smoke generator, a housing, an electrical power source, an air pump and a switch all arranged such that the indicator may be actuated by a user using a single hand. The smoke generator may be a cartomizer as an example. The indicator may include a rechargeable battery, a power outlet circuit and a SD card reader and transmitter for transmitting data from the SD card to a cellphone via a wireless connection such as Wi-Fi or bluetooth.

An image processing apparatus includes a communicator that performs wireless communication with a terminal device; and a controller. The controller performs pairing with the terminal device, establishes wireless communication with the paired terminal device via the communicator, acquires information on a transmission destination of an image from the terminal device, disconnects the wireless communication after acquiring the information on the transmission destination, and releases the pairing with the terminal device by disconnecting the wireless communication.

A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.
