Methods and systems for adding content from an external medium to a job submitted at a multifunction device
The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for allowing a user to add content from an external medium to a job submitted at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a job at the multi-function device for a pre-defined operation. The method further includes providing a user interface at the multi-function device including an option for adding the content from the external medium. Once the option is selected, a code generated corresponding to the job is displayed at the multi-function device. Upon scanning the code, the user selects the content to be added and provides details of the content to be added from the external medium. Finally, the selected content is added in the job resulting in a final output.

An information processing system that that confirms the meanings of difference information in meeting content with reference to the sound information is provided. Differences between meeting content contained in image information of a paper medium taken at each detection cycle and meeting content contained in master information are extracted. Surrounding sounds are recorded while the meeting is being held. The sound information of the recorded sounds is associated with the difference information of the extracted differences and also associated with the master information with the timing when the differences of the meeting content are detected.
Systems and methods for mobile image capture and processing of checks
Techniques for processing an image of a check captured using a mobile device are provided. The check image is processed to determine whether the check can be deposited at a bank via a mobile deposit process. The system can identify regions of the check—such as the endorsement area—to determine if the check has been properly endorsed. The system can be implemented on a mobile device and/or a server, where the mobile device routes the check image to the server for processing. If the check cannot be deposited, a rejection is forwarded in real time to the mobile device for possible correction.

An image forming device is an image forming device in a destination setting system, and the destination setting system includes the image forming device and a wireless communication device used by a user who uses the image forming device. The image forming device has a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit receives destination information transmitted from the wireless communication device among one or more destination information stored in the wireless communication device. The control unit sets the destination information received by the communication unit as a destination in a transmission function of image data.
Digital camera processing system
A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check: displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. The digital camera processing system may generate a log file including a bi-tonal image formatted as a TIFF image.

System and method for annotating images
A method and system for electronically annotating an image, or preferably, specific portions of an image, with information. In one aspect, a user may generate an image, annotate the image, and upload or otherwise disseminate the annotated image to a web page or the like. Annotations are provided as labels that provide information about the image or items therein. Further users may access the labels to access the information. The labels further enable searching and contextual advertising.
FAX AND PRINT METHOD AND FAX SYSTEM USING SAME
A fax and print method includes steps of providing a first fax device, a second fax device and a portable communication device, allowing the first fax device to send a fax password and a document to the second fax device and a data message and a text message corresponded to the fax password to the portable communication device, allowing the portable communication device to receive the text message and the data message, allowing the second fax device to receive the fax password and the document, generating a wireless connection between the portable communication device and the second fax device, judging if the text message is matched with the fax password, and printing the document when the result of the judgement is True. Therefore, the risk of being stolen is reduced through a transmission without the internet. The user does not have to remember any password. The user experiences are enhanced.
Communication Device
A communication device may include a first type of interface and a second type of interface. The communication device may execute the communication of object data with a mobile device using the second type of interface after executing a specific process for causing the communication device to shift to a communication-enabled state, in a case where it is determined that the communication device is not currently in the communication-enabled state. Also, the communication device may execute the communication of the object data with the mobile device using the second type of interface without executing the specific process, in a case where it is determined that the communication device is currently in the communication-enabled state.
