An information processing device includes a processor holding restoration information that associates (i) defects predicted to occur in an inspection image read from a recording medium, (ii) a restoration operation for preventing each of the defects from occurring, and (iii) an executing device that executes the restoration operation, with one another. The processor extracts, from the restoration information, the restoration operation associated with one of the defects designated on a display screen displaying the inspection image read from the recording medium, and instructs the executing device to execute the extracted restoration operation.

According to one embodiment, an imaging display system includes an imaging device and a display device, which operate synchronously with each other. The imaging display system includes a control device. The control device is configured to measure light exposure when the imaging device captures an image and determine whether the measured light exposure is insufficient, and control the display device to decrease a refresh rate and the imaging device to prolong an exposure time, when determined that the light exposure is insufficient. The first scanning time for the imaging device to scan the image and the second scanning time required for the display device to scan the display panel are constant.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where a function requiring setting of a destination to which data is to be transmitted has been selected by a user, display a first screen in a state in which the destination has not been set and display a second screen different from the first screen in a state in which the destination has been set.

An operation guide apparatus includes a display and a processor. The display displays, on a display screen, operation guide information for providing a guide on an operation for continuously using a device. The processor performs processing to enable an operator who is doing the operation with such a posture that the operator is unable to see the operation guide information displayed on the display screen to recognize the operation guide information.

The present invention provides a method and device for image processing. A user device performs the image processing based on the first template elements selected by a user, and sends the image processing information about the image processing to the corresponding network device, such that the network device performs the image processing based on the image processing information by invoking the second template element, thereby obtaining a second image. Thus, the image processing overhead of the user device is reduced and the traffic is saved for the user with improved user experience of image processing.

An image processing apparatus providing a plurality of functions includes a display control unit that, upon receiving an instruction for displaying a screen of a function where use of the function requires authentication, displays the screen of the function requiring authentication in a state where a user operation on the screen of the function is not received, wherein the display control unit enables receipt of a user operation on the screen of the function in a case where a user is successfully authenticated and authorized to use the function.

An image forming apparatus includes a display panel, a sheet conveying passage, a reading unit, a light source, a chassis, and a controller. The reading unit includes a light transmitting plate and a conveying image sensor. The conveying image sensor reads a conveyed sheet, which is a sheet to print on. The chassis has a cleaning hole in which to insert a cleaning rod for rubbing the light-transmitting plate. The circuitry determines whether registration of a specified facsimile number for unwanted facsimile is reasonable to be performed, based on at least one of the number of facsimile transmission times associated with the specified facsimile number and the number of output times associated with the specified facsimile number. The specified facsimile number is included in the one or more facsimile numbers. The circuitry registers the specified facsimile number for the unwanted facsimile in response to determining that the registration of the specified facsimile number for the unwanted facsimile is reasonable to be performed.
