The present invention provides an information processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The information processing apparatus has a console unit that accepts an instruction by a user via a button displayed on a screen. The information processing apparatus registers a setting for executing processing corresponding to the button, prompts a user to input identification information to be added to image data generated by a function corresponding to the button, and when the button is instructed via the console unit, the information processing apparatus outputs the image data to which the identification information has been added to a destination corresponding to the setting which is registered in association with the button.

An information processing apparatus including at least one unit that receives a user operation, the information processing apparatus includes an ultraviolet irradiation device that performs disinfection processing for disinfecting at least a part of the at least one unit, an operation unit including a display that provides notification to a user, and a controller, wherein during the disinfection processing for the at least a part of the at least one unit, the controller causes the operation unit to provide notification to the user not to touch the information processing apparatus.

An image processing apparatus includes a flow execution unit configured to receive, in response to an instruction from a user to start an application installed in the image processing apparatus, a request to register a flow from the application; store information for identifying functions included in the flow and an execution order of the functions; switchably display setting screens for the respective functions included in the flow in response to a request from the application to execute the flow; and execute the functions identified based on the stored information in the stored execution order based on setting information input on the setting screens for the respective functions.

An image processing apparatus includes a management unit configured to manage a shortcut in association with one or more pieces of card information and a control unit configured to execute display control on a display, wherein, when first card information and second card information are managed in association with a first shortcut, the control unit executes control on a screen for the function corresponding to the first shortcut to display in a state where the corresponding group of setting values is applied to the function even if either one of the first card information and the second card information is read. Further, the number of pieces of card information that can be associated with the shortcut has an upper limit.

Otherwise, the apparatus does not display the previously selected device as being able to execute the selected second function.

A processing system includes a detecting unit that detects an operator operation to set a recording medium onto an image processing apparatus or to move part of the image processing apparatus wherein the operator operation is an operation performed by an operator, and a controller that registers a registration processes and performs, in response to detected operator operation, a registration process among registration processes registered in advance wherein if one or more of the registration processes satisfy a predetermined condition, the controller registers the one or more of the registration processes which are changed not to perform in response to the operator operation or to perform the one or more of the registration processes after performing a particular process.

An information processing apparatus includes an extractor, a creator, and a sender. The extractor compares items of capability information concerning plural devices and extracts a capability which is not sufficiently provided in a first device but is provided in a second device. The plural devices include the first and second devices. The creator creates a menu to be used in the first device. The first device is able to display the capability extracted by the extractor by using an icon in a mode different from an icon representing another capability and to display device information which indicates that the capability is available in the second device. The sender sends the menu to the first device.

In an operation assistance system, an operation assistance method, and a computer-readable recording medium recording an operation assistance program, each of which assists with making an operation setting of an image forming apparatus by using a mobile communication terminal, the mobile communication terminal wirelessly communicates with the image forming apparatus, and at least two types of setting items among plural types of the setting items for the image forming apparatus are simultaneously set by a single touch operation on an operation screen of the mobile communication terminal.

An example image forming includes a print engine to form an image, a display to display a user interface window for selecting at least one of an industry or a place using the image forming apparatus, and a processor to, based on at least one of the industry or the place being selected, set an option value corresponding to the at least one of the selected industry or place as a default option value for a function of the image forming apparatus.

An information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium and for processing information are provided. The information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive image data; cause a display to display the received image data; and move, in response to a user instruction, a portion of the image data from a first place to a second place on the display. The portion of the image data is a partial region of an entire region of the image data. While the portion of the image data is being moved from the first place to the second place, the portion of the image data is displayed at the first place.
