An image forming apparatus, to form an image on a recording material using a recording agent supplied from a container detachably mounted to the image forming apparatus, includes a cover configured to cover a region in which the container is stored. A display instruction is received from a user to display a procedure for replacing the container. A display unit is caused to display the container replacing procedure based on receiving the display instruction. In a case where it is determined that the container replacing procedure is displayed on the display unit, performing control includes performing control to prevent a notification, prompting the user to close the cover, from being issued even if the cover is opened.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a door, an inlet, a primary power source, a secondary power source, a primary interlock switch, and a secondary interlock switch. The housing has an opening. The door is hinge-coupled to the housing by a hinge, and opens and closes the opening. The inlet is provided near the hinge. The secondary power source is provided farther from the inlet than the primary power source. The first interlock switch is provided on a primary electric circuit between the inlet and the primary power source, and is turned off when the door is opened. The second interlock switch is provided on a secondary electric circuit between the primary power source and the secondary power source, and is turned off when the door is opened. The primary interlock switch is disposed closer to the inlet than the secondary interlock switch.

An opening/closing cover attachment structure couples an edge of an opening/closing cover to a cover attaching body in a turnable manner. The opening/closing cover attachment structure includes a first hinge, a second hinge and a holding part. The first hinge and the second hinge are disposed on the edge of the opening/closing cover via an interval. The holding part is disposed outside between the first hinge and the second hinge, and capable of holding the opening/closing cover in a closing state and releasing the holding. Hinge axes of the first hinge and the second hinge are sifted each other in a front-and-rear direction of the opening/closing cover, such that it becomes possible to reduce a level difference between contact end portions of the opening/closing cover in the closing state and the cover attaching body.

A recording apparatus includes a reverse path for reversing a surface of a medium, a second medium transport path for guiding the medium on which recording has been performed to the reverse path, a third medium transport path which is positioned vertically below the second medium transport path and guides the medium on which recording has been performed to the reverse path, in which a first path forming portion that forms the reverse path, a second path forming portion that forms a part of an upper side of the second medium transport path, and a third path forming portion that forms a part of an upper side of the third medium transport path are constituted to be attachable and detachable as a unit body, and a part of the second medium transport path and a part of the third medium transport path are exposed by removing the unit body.

The printer display device includes a fixing portion separably mounted to the outer surface; a display portion main body having a display portion configured to display the predetermined information provided thereon; and a hinge portion configured to couple the fixing portion and the display portion main body to each other so that the display portion main body is displaced relative to the fixing portion.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including a side surface portion in which an opening is formed, a cartridge, an opening/closing member configured to be moved with respect to the apparatus body between a closed position and an opened position, a sheet stacking portion, a feed roller, and a lifting member configured to lift and lower the feed roller. In the state where the opening/closing member is positioned in the closed position, at least part of the lifting member is positioned an inside of a movement locus through which the cartridge passes in a case where the cartridge is attached to and detached from the apparatus body. In a state where the opening/closing member is positioned in the opened position, a whole of the lifting member is positioned an outside of the movement locus.

A recording apparatus includes a reverse path for reversing a surface of a medium, a second medium transport path for guiding the medium on which recording has been performed to the reverse path, a third medium transport path which is positioned vertically below the second medium transport path and guides the medium on which recording has been performed to the reverse path, in which a first path forming portion that forms the reverse path, a second path forming portion that forms a part of an upper side of the second medium transport path, and a third path forming portion that forms a part of an upper side of the third medium transport path are constituted to be attachable and detachable as a unit body, and a part of the second medium transport path and a part of the third medium transport path are exposed by removing the unit body.

A printer includes a printer housing, which includes a plurality of outer surfaces including a bottom surface opposed to an installation surface, and has a recording paper receiving portion configured to receive recording paper through an opening portion; a printer cover, which is coupled to the printer housing, and is configured to openably cover the opening portion; a printer display device, which is removably mounted to the outer surface, of the plurality of outer surfaces, other than the bottom surface, and is configured to display predetermined information; and a connection cable, which is connected between the printer housing and the printer display device, and is configured to communicate at least data related to the predetermined information. The printer display device includes a fixing portion separably mounted to the outer surface; a display portion main body having a display portion configured to display the predetermined information provided thereon; and a hinge portion configured to couple the fixing portion and the display portion main body to each other so that the display portion main body is displaced relative to the fixing portion.

A recording device includes a moving portion that is movable in a moving direction intersecting a horizontal direction, and a regulating member that includes a regulating portion and is attachable to and detachable from a contact position where the regulating portion comes into contact with a part of the moving portion, in which the regulating member regulates movement of the moving portion in the moving direction by the regulating portion coming into contact with a part of the moving portion.
