The adjustment device (2) includes a base (20), a connection portion (21) extending from the base (20), and an adjustment portion (22). An adjustment area (102) is defined on the housing (10) corresponding to the adjustment device (2), an adjustment hole (103) is defined on the housing (10) corresponding to the adjustment area (103), and the base (20) is arranged in the housing (10) adjacent to the adjustment area (102). The connection portion (21) is coupled to the guiding structure (13), and the adjustment portion (22) protrudes from the adjustment hole (103).
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes: a conveyance unit configured to convey a medium; a sensor configured to sense a medium being conveyed; and a controller configured to control the conveyance unit and acquire a result of the sensing performed by the sensor. The sensor includes a light emitter, a light receiver configured to perform output in accordance with the amount of the received light, and a shielding unit including a transmissive part through which the sensing light transmits. The transmissive part has a shape in which an opening width in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the medium changes in the conveyance direction. The controller determines skewing of the medium being conveyed based on change in the amount of light received by the light receiver as the medium passes along the transmissive part and temporal change in accordance with the conveyance of the medium.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, AND POST PROCESSING DEVICE INCORPORATING THE SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE
A sheet conveying device, which is included in an image forming apparatus and a post processing device, includes a position corrector and either one of a rolling body and a contact resistance reducer. The position corrector is configured to convey a sheet and correct a position of the sheet. The rolling body is disposed at least one of an upstream side and a downstream side of a sheet conveyance passage from the position corrector in a sheet conveying direction and is configured to roll in at least a direction intersecting the sheet conveying direction. The contact resistance reducer is configured to reduce contact resistance generated due to contact of the sheet to a neighboring part when the position of the sheet is corrected by the position corrector.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus is provided with a reader which reads a document, a transport roller which is provided on an upstream side of the reader in a document transport path in which the document is transported and transports the document to a reading position of the reader, and a controller which receives reading data of the reader and controls the transport roller, in which the controller receives the reading data from the reader to acquire a form of the document, and selects whether or not to stop driving of the transport roller based on the form.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a medium mounting portion configured to mount a medium; a feeding means configured to feed a medium from the medium mounting portion; at least one edge guide each configured to regulate a corresponding one of at least one medium width direction edge of the medium having been mounted on the medium mounting portion; a reading means configured to read the medium and disposed on a further downstream side than the at least one edge guide in the medium feeding direction; and at least one medium detection means configured to detect the medium and disposed on a further downstream side than the at least one edge guide in the medium feeding direction and further outside in the medium width direction than at least one edge regulation position for the edge regulation by the at least one edge guide.
MEDIA EJECTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-EXECUTABLE MEDIUM
A media ejecting apparatus includes: an imaging device to image a medium to generate an input image, an ejection roller located downstream from the imaging device in a media ejection direction to eject the medium imaged by the imaging device, a sensor located between the imaging device and the ejection roller to detect a part of a trailing end of the medium, and circuitry. The circuitry detects an amount of inclination of the medium. The circuitry determines whether an entire trailing end of the medium has passed an imaging position of the imaging device based on the amount of inclination when a part of the trailing end of the medium passes the sensor and generate a determination result. The circuitry controls the ejection roller based on the determination result.
Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus including a reading unit comprising a photodetector configured to read an image information on a sheet, and a projecting portion, a case storing the photodetector therein, the case comprising a transparent portion configured to transmit light to be received by the photodetector, and a portion defining an opening through which the projecting portion is projected outward from the case, and an elastic portion provided to fill a space where the projecting portion is not present in the opening. The case movably stores the photodetector within a range where the projecting portion is movable in the opening.
PRINTING SYSTEM CONTROL
A method and system of controlling at least one printbar in a printing system are described. The printing system has one or more of printbars distributed along a media transport. A first image including a reference pattern is generated on a print medium with a first printbar. A pattern is then detected on the print medium. The reference pattern and the detected pattern are used to determine a position of the first image relative to a second printbar. This position is used to configure nozzle data for a second image to be generated on the print medium by the second printbar.
Image forming method and image forming apparatus comprising a scanner section and a light reflection area determination section
An image processing apparatus comprises a scanner section and an area determination section. The scanner section reads the light reflected from an original document after the light penetrates a light diffusion sheet to output first image data, wherein the light diffusion sheet has a surface for diffusing the light reflected from the original document including a mirror reflection area; and the area determination section determines the mirror reflection area with respect to the first image data output from the scanner section.
