Image Reading Device
Disclosed is an image reading device that may include: a first receiver receiving a reading job execution instruction by voice input; a second receiver receiving an instruction to convert first image data into second image data; and a CPU. The CPU may set a value of a setting category required for execution of a reading job to a first selectable value when no instruction is provided by the voice input for the setting category; execute the reading job according to the first selectable value to obtain the first image data; and generate the second image data from the first image data when the instruction to convert the first image data is received. The second image data may be equivalent to image data that would be obtained by the reading job executed according to a second selectable value, and the second image data can be generated from the first image data, but the reverse is not possible.
Image reading apparatus for detecting multifeeding an interrupting or stopping the reading, and image reading method
A reading unit is configured to capture an image of a shadow generated at a leading end of a document, and a control unit is configured to estimate a thickness of the document based on a pixel value of the shadow. A multifeeding error is displayed on a display unit when it is determined as thin paper in a thick paper determination. The control unit turns multifeeding detection to OFF and stands by until a feeding is completed, and upon completion, returns the multifeeding detection to ON.
IMAGE DISPLAY OPERATION DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE IMAGE DISPLAY OPERATION DEVICE

The control unit includes: a function setup controller for setting up the image output conditions of output images; and a control-unit side controller having a function of displaying a function setup screen corresponding to the function setup controller, on a display panel. The function setup controller has an additional input mode having a function of reading documents a multiple number of times to form multiple sheaves of documents. The additional input mode includes: an individual setup function of setting up individual image output conditions for each sheaf of documents and an all-in setup function of setting up identical image output conditions for all sheaves of documents. When the additional input mode is set up, the control unit-side controller offers a display of a setup change suggestion of the image output conditions for the next input on the display screen at the stage where the first image data input has been completed.
Image reading apparatus and medium storing program executable by image reading apparatus for sending image data to destination included in acquired e-mail setting information
An image reading apparatus includes a scanner configured to read an image from a document, and a controller. The controller is configured to: output a template for inputting e-mail setting information including at least a destination; acquire the e-mail setting information included in an e-mail setting file from a storage apparatus in which the e-mail setting file is stored; and transmit image data read by the scanner to the destination included in the acquired e-mail setting information. The e-mail setting file is prepared by inputting the e-mail setting information into the template outputted. The storage apparatus has an area corresponding to user information, and the e-mail setting file is stored in the area corresponding to the user information of the storage apparatus. The controller accesses the e-mail setting file stored in the area corresponding to the user information by utilizing the user information.
IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An image reading device includes reading devices arranged in a main scanning direction perpendicular to a sub-scanning direction, position reference members each including a reference pattern for correcting relative positions of pixels in each of the reading devices or relative positions of the reading devices, and circuitry. The reference members move in the sub-scanning direction relative to the reading devices, and include first reference members for correcting the relative positions of the reading devices and second reference members for correcting the relative positions of the pixels in each of the reading devices. While switching between the first reference members and the second reference members, the circuitry calculates a correction value for a deviation of the pixels in each of the reading devices and a correction value for a deviation of the reading devices based on a result of reading of the reference members.
Image display operation device and image forming apparatus including the image display operation device
An image forming apparatus includes a document reader, a storage for storing image data, an image output unit and a control unit.
IMAGE READING AND FORMING APPARATUS WITH DOCUMENT WIDTH DETECTION BASED ON DOCUMENT PRESS POSITION, ELAPSED TIME, AND READING INSTRUCTION
An image reading apparatus includes an image reading unit, a document pressing unit, a first position detection unit, a second position detection unit, and a controller. The image reading unit reads an image of a document. The document pressing unit presses the document against a document placement component. The first position detection unit detects a first closed position at which the document pressing unit is not in contact with the document placement component. The second position detection unit detects a second closed position that is closer to the document placement component than the first closed position is. The controller performs first width detection on the document and further performs second width detection. The first width detection is performed in accordance with detection performed by the first position detection unit on a closing operation of the document pressing unit. The second width detection is performed after elapse of a predetermined time in accordance with detection performed by the second position detection unit on the closing operation of the document pressing unit. If the controller receives an image reading instruction before the elapse of the predetermined time, the controller performs the second width detection without waiting for the elapse of the predetermined time and starts an image reading process.
Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus with document width detection
