The (b) acquiring acquires edge information of a first original corner from the original image data to estimate a round shape of the first original corner using the edge information. The first original corner being one of the four original corners in the original.

There is provided with an information processing method of an information processing apparatus communicable with a plurality of devices. The method comprises selecting any one of the plurality of devices as a device to be used to perform a predetermined process; installing, based on that the device to be used to perform a predetermined process is changed from a first device among the plurality of devices to a second device among the plurality of devices by the selecting, a second device driver corresponding to the second device to the information processing apparatus; and setting, to the second device driver installed by the installing, at least a part of setting data for performing the predetermined process set to a first device driver corresponding to the first device.

An image transfer clock is controlled for transferring image data of a document sheet from a reading unit for reading both sides of the document sheet, to an image processing unit for performing image processing on data acquired via an image bus. When transfer of image data of one side of the document sheet is singly executed, a frequency of the image transfer clock is set to a predetermined frequency, and when transfer of image data of the other side of the document sheet, which is executed in succession to the transfer of image data of the one side, is to be executed in parallel with the image processing, the frequency is switched from the predetermined frequency to a lower frequency than the same.

An image processing apparatus communicates with a chat server that controls displaying information indicating received image data on a talk room based on received information indicating the talk room of the chat server. The image processing apparatus includes a reading unit that reads an image of a document and generates image data based on the image, a receiving unit that receives information indicating the talk room of the chat server from a mobile terminal, and a transmission unit that transmits the generated image data and the information indicating the talk room to the chat server.

A control method for an apparatus for controlling a reading apparatus that performs reading in a transmission mode includes a read controlling step, a generating step and a processing step. In a read controlling step, the reading apparatus is controlled to read at least one film in the transmission mode based on a reading instruction from operating system standard software. In a generating step, a display image is generated, in which at least one frame image is arranged, based on a read image obtained by the reading in the read controlling step. In a processing step, a processing for displaying the display image generated in the generating step by using the operating system standard software, is executed.

An image forming apparatus includes an original reading unit; an image forming unit, an image data sending unit; and a mode setting unit for setting one of original reading modes including a first original reading mode for the original reading unit to read originals of the same size, and a second original reading mode for the original reading unit to read originals of different sizes; and a control unit for controlling the original reading unit and the image forming unit so as to execute a copy job including the original reading process and the image forming process, and a sending job including the original reading process and the sending process. The mode setting unit is capable of independently setting, for the copy job and the sending job, a default value indicating the first original reading mode or the second original reading mode.

An image reading apparatus includes a common transport route, a first and a second transport route, a first and a second image sensor, a first and a second discharge tray, and a controller. The controller executes a first reading mode including guiding the document from the common transport route to the first transport route, reading the image on the first face of the document with the first image sensor, and discharging the document to the first discharge tray, or a second reading mode including reading the image on the second face of the document with the second image sensor, guiding the document from the common transport route to the second transport route, and discharging the document to the second discharge tray, inhibits the first reading mode, upon deciding that the first discharge tray is full, and inhibits the second reading mode, upon deciding that the second discharge tray is full.

An image reading apparatus includes a transport unit which transports a document, and reading units which read an image of the document which is transported. It is assumed that an operation of reading an image when specific setting information is not input to a control device of the image reading apparatus is set to a first reading mode, and an operation of reading an image when specific setting information is input to the control device is set to a second reading mode. In this case, in the second reading mode, image data of an image with a resolution which is equal to that in the first reading mode is generated, while causing the reading units to read an image from a document which is transported by the transport device at a lower speed than that in the first reading mode.

An image processing apparatus that executes jobs in parallel using a small number of resources. A controller includes an image processor that applies an image process to image data. A scanner controller includes storage for storing image data generated by scanning a document with a scanner and transfers the image data stored to the controller through a data bus. A processor executes instructions to set a frequency of an image transfer clock to a first frequency when a first job including a process that transfers image data generated by scanning documents to the controller is executed alone, and set the frequency of the image transfer clock to a second frequency lower than the first frequency when the first job is executed in parallel to a second job including an image process. The frequency of the image transfer clock is maintained at the second frequency until finishing the first job.
