Systems, methods and apparatuses are described herein that allow an enterprise to analyze and manage work product images that are stored on a mobile device. Employees of an enterprise may use a mobile device to store both work product images (e.g., images of sensitive or proprietary information) and non-work product images (e.g., personal images). An enterprise may desire to enforce security protocols on the work product images, but the employee may not want the security protocols applied to the non-work product images. In some embodiments, by installing and executing an image manager that is able to analyze and manage images, the enterprise can enforce security protocols on only the work product images. Such security protocols may include the prevention of unauthorized viewing of the work product image (e.g., by encrypting the work product image) or deleting any work product image from the mobile device when the employee's employment has ended.

An image output device includes a storage and outputs image data stored the storage. The image output device includes a detector, an output controller, and an eraser. The detector detects whether or not specific image information is included in the image data. The output controller allows an output of the image data when the image data does not include the specific image information, and disallows the output of the image data when the image data includes the specific image information. The eraser erases the image data from the storage when the specific image information is included in the image data.

An image forming apparatus that executes a password-protected job includes a function for omitting an input of a job password, manages a user password for keyboard authentication in association with a user, manages a personal identification number for icon authentication in association with the user, accepts login to an account of the user based on the keyboard authentication, permits execution of a password-protected print job associated with the user based on a print instruction without inputting a job password, accepts login to the account of the user based on the icon authentication, and permits execution of a password-protected print job associated with the user based on a print instruction with an input of a job password.

A method is disclosed. For example, the method executed by a processor of a multi-function device (MFD) includes receiving a video image of a multi-function device (MFD), applying an object detection model to the video image to generate an annotated image with bounding boxes around persons detected in the video image, determining a number of the bounding boxes, determining that the number of bounding boxes is greater than a threshold in a policy associated with the MFD, and deactivating the MFD.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing multiple scan requests received at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a scan request from a remote computing device of a remote user. Before executing the scan request, two conditions are checked. It is checked if document is present on a scanning platform of the multi-function device and further it is checked if one or more activities on a user interface of the multi-function device, are being performed. Based on the presence of the document on the scanning platform and the one or more activities on the user interface, the scan request received from the remote user is disallowed. This way, multiple scanned requests are managed at the multi-function device.

A system and a method for verifying authenticity of a physical copy and a digital copy of a document are disclosed. The method comprises registering a document in a repository by storing details related to the document in a location of the repository. A symbology for the document is generated. The symbology is an identifier of the location of the repository comprising the document. The symbology is associated with either a physical or a digital copy of the document. The digital copy of the document is printed to generate a printed copy. The printed copy or the physical copy of the document is scanned to generate a scanned image. The document and the details related to the document present at the location of the repository are accessed. The scanned image is compared with the document stored in the repository to determine the authenticity of either the physical copy or the digital copy of the document.

Identification information corresponding to a network resource is extracted from input document data. It is determined whether access to the network resource is appropriate based on the identification information. Based on a result of determination, the output of the document data is restricted, or at least part of the identification information is changed, and the document data is output.

A mobile device includes a scan privacy tool to allow edits and changes to a document image to remove or hide private information within a document. The scan privacy tool is enabled for jobs on a multi-functional printing (MFP) device and launches when a print job is run. The document is sent from a device or retrieved from memory storage. The document image displayed on a display and edit interface of the scan privacy tool. Changes are made to the document image using tools available through the scan privacy tool. The changes are applied to the document image. The modified image is saved and transmitted to an engine in the MFP device to complete the print job.

An information processing system includes a server including a memory that stores a registered feature value of data and first circuitry, and an image processing apparatus connectable via a network to the server. The image processing apparatus includes second circuitry to extract a feature value from data and transmit the feature value to the server. The first circuitry receives the feature value transmitted from the image processing apparatus, outputs an output setting depending on whether the received feature value matches the registered feature value in the memory, and transmits the output setting to the image processing apparatus. The second circuitry receives, from the server, the output setting associated with the feature value, and instructs an image forming device to form an image based on the output setting.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire an image serving as a target of processing and information about the image; and if the information about the acquired image satisfies a condition, perform to a destination an inquiry as to whether the destination grants outputting of the image, and output the image if a notification that the destination has granted the outputting of the image is received from the destination.
