The threshold voltage is higher than a guaranteed operation voltage of the execution unit.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
An image reading apparatus includes a plurality of image reading chips. Each of the plurality of image reading chips includes, a pixel that includes a light receiving element which receives light and performs photoelectric conversion; a voltage boosting circuit that generates a transmission control signal for transmitting electric charges which are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion; and a reading circuit which generates an image signal on the basis of the electric charges which are transmitted. The voltage boosting circuit operates during a period in which the light receiving element receives the light and during a period in which the electric charges that are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion which is performed by the light receiving element, and stops an operation during a period in which the reading circuits of the other image reading chips output the image signals.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus including a normal power mode and a power saving mode includes a fixing unit configured to bring first and second rotary members into contact with each other to form a nip portion and fix a toner image onto a sheet with a pressing force of the nip portion. The image forming apparatus executes a rotation operation or a separation operation to separate the first and second rotary members from each other in order to prevent a deformation of the nip portion in the fixing unit. The image forming apparatus measures a time during which the first and second rotary members are in contact with each other without rotating. The image forming apparatus determines whether to execute the separation operation or the rotation operation based on a result of the power mode determination and the measured time.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER -READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM ENCODED WITH MODE SWITCHING PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus includes a volatile first storage, a non-volatile second storage, a host controller, a guest controller, an emulator that emulates access to the first storage and the second storage by the host controller such that the guest controller accesses the first storage and the second storage, and an application portion that controls the host controller to access the first storage and the second storage. Any one of the application portion and the emulator includes a transfer portion that stores data that is stored in a predetermined region of the second storage in a certain region of the first storage before the application portion stops the second storage. The emulator includes an access destination converter that converts access to the second storage by the guest controller into access to the certain region of the first storage after the second storage is stopped.
Image forming systems, and methods of using same
At least one image processing apparatus includes a storage unit configured to store configuration information of an image forming apparatus, a return unit configured to return the image processing apparatus from a power saving state when the image processing apparatus detects a predetermined condition, and a request unit configured to transmit a request for acquiring the configuration information of the image forming apparatus to the image forming apparatus when the return unit returns the image processing apparatus from the power saving state. The image forming apparatus includes a transmission unit configured to transmit the configuration information of the image forming apparatus to the image processing apparatus based on the request transmitted by the request unit. Further, the image processing apparatus includes an update unit configured to update the configuration information stored in the storage unit by using the configuration information of the image forming apparatus transmitted by the transmission unit.
Image forming apparatus that controls a germicidal lamp apparatus generating germicidal light
According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus supplies, in a normal mode, electric power to an image forming device, and limits, in a power saving mode, power supplying to the image forming device to be less than that in the normal mode. The image forming apparatus communicates, in the normal mode, with a germicidal lamp apparatus via a communication interface such that the germicidal lamp apparatus generates no germicidal light, and communicates, in the power saving mode, with the germicidal lamp apparatus via the communication interface such that the germicidal lamp apparatus generates germicidal light.
Systems and methods for implementing user-interactive delayed printing in image forming devices
A system and method are provided for implementing more efficient printing in image forming devices by providing a user-interactive scheme for delaying printing of individual user-requested print operations when an individual image forming device to which a specific user-requested printing operation is directed is determined to be in a power saving mode. The disclosed system and method may determine whether a requested image forming device is in a power saving mode at the time that a user requests an image forming operation and automatically present to the user a formatted user interface page on a display at the user workstation. The formatted user interface may provide the user with an option to direct the image forming device to delay (hold) executing the requested image forming operation until some additional condition is met.
PRINTER WITH SENSOR CIRCUIT HAVING ADJUSTABLE THRESHOLD
A printer, according to an example, includes a sensor circuit to sense a position of an element of the printer, wherein the sensor circuit includes a comparison circuit to compare a sensed signal to a threshold signal and generate an output signal based on the comparison. The printer includes a controller to: repeatedly power on and power off the sensor circuit; receive the output signal of the comparison circuit when the sensor circuit is powered on, thereby receiving a plurality of output signals over time; and adjust the threshold signal based on at least one of the plurality of output signals.
CONTROL DEVICE, STARTUP METHOD, AND ELECTRIC APPARATUS
A control device includes a processor and a first storage portion. The processor executes a control process based on data stored in a main memory. The first storage portion stores a first memory image related to the main memory after a process of starting-up an operating system by the processor is completed. The control device loads the first memory image into the main memory if the operating system is started up.
WAKE-UP CONTROL DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A wake-up control device includes a detector and a wake-up unit. When an apparatus is in a power-saving state in which power consumption is lower than power consumption in a normal state, the detector detects a hand or finger approaching an operation unit operated in order to perform a wake-up operation of changing a state of the apparatus from the power-saving state to the normal state. In the case where the apparatus is in the power-saving state, if the detector detects a hand or finger approaching the operation unit, even when the operation unit has not been operated, the wake-up unit performs a wake-up operation of changing the state of the apparatus from the power-saving state to the normal state.
