The image forming process includes a transfer process of transferring the image forming material to image forming positions on the recording medium. The image forming apparatus further includes an image reading unit, circuitry, and a storage unit. The image reading unit reads each of the plurality of test charts. The circuitry calculates adjustment values for adjusting images formed at the image forming positions on a first side and a second side of the recording medium depending on adhesion amounts of the image forming material on the first side and the second side based on a reading result of the plurality of test charts by the image reading unit. The storage unit stores the adjustment values.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms a correction patch using toner; a measurer that measures a color, a density, or a deposited amount of toner of the correction patch; and a hardware processor that calculates a reference correction amount on the basis of a measurement value of the measurer so that the density of the correction patch reaches a target value, and corrects an image forming condition of the image former by a first correction amount smaller than the reference correction amount.

A consumables management system includes a plurality of printers in each of which a consumables container is installed and each of which is configured to consume consumables contained in the consumables container, and a management unit connected via a network to the plurality of printers. The management unit manages container identification information assigned to the consumables container, device identification information assigned to each of the plurality of printers, and user identification information assigned to the user of each of the plurality of printers in association with one another.

An image forming apparatus includes a printer engine, a sensor and a processor. The printer engine forms an image. The sensor outputs vibration information associated with a vibration of the printer engine. The processor determines whether at least one component of the printer engine has an abnormality based on the output vibration information.

An image forming apparatus includes a print engine, a DC motor, a driving circuit, and a processor. The print engine forms an image. The DC motor drives the print engine. The driving circuit provides a current to the DC motor, and senses a variation of the current provided to the DC motor. The processor calculates a temperature of the DC motor based on the variation of the current flowing through the DC motor, and controls an operation of the image forming apparatus based on the calculated temperature.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an image forming control method, an image forming apparatus, and a non-transitory storage medium. The image forming control method includes acquiring job data and job parameters corresponding to the job data, where the job parameters include an image post-processing direction and a job data direction; determining a sheet feed direction based on the image post-processing direction and the job data direction in conjunction with a pre-stored corresponding relationship for characterizing a preset image post-processing direction, a preset job data direction, and a preset sheet feed direction; and based on the sheet feed direction, the job data, the job data direction, and the image post-processing direction, controlling an image forming device to perform an image forming operation, and controlling an image post-processing device to perform an image post-processing operation.

An image forming apparatus includes a scanner, a receiver, and a controller. The scanner scans a document to obtain image data representing the scanned document. The receiver receives faxed image data. The controller includes a processor and a memory, performs processing for reducing usage of a consumable material on the image data obtained by the scanner, and does not perform the processing on image data obtained from an external apparatus.
