Emulating 3D textual patterns
Example implementations relate to emulating 3D texture patterns in a printer system. One example implementation receives an image having a number of image pixels and selects from a plurality of digital substrates which each correspond to a physical substrate. Each digital substrate has luminance change data corresponding to heights of a 3D texture pattern at respective locations of the physical substrate. An image having emulated 3D texture is generated by adjusting the luminance of the image pixels corresponding to respective locations of the physical substrate and according to the corresponding luminance change data.
System and method for defining colorant values for printing on colored print media
An image processing system and method provide for receiving a digital document page to be printed. The page includes a background region for which no color is specified. A user is presented with an option to select a print medium from a set of print media of different colors and to select an option for a color of the selected print medium be used as a color of a background layer of the digital document page. When the option is selected, a background layer is inserted into the page. A print job incorporating the processed digital document page is output to an associated printer that is configured to convert the color of the background layer to colorant values that use the print media as a colorant for rendering at least a part of the background region.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device includes: a sheet feeder that feeds a sheet; a controller that: discriminates a sheet type of the sheet, and receives a user input to specify a sheet type; and an image forming device that has two setting modes including an automatic discrimination mode in which an image is formed based on the discriminated sheet type and a user specified mode in which an image is formed based on the sheet type specified by the user input. The controller automatically switches one of the two setting modes to the other based on a defined condition.
Outputting plurality of images having different sizes
Provided are an image forming apparatus for outputting a plurality of images having different sizes according to a method pre-set by a user without interrupting a current printing operation when the plurality of images having different sizes are obtained and a method of operating the image forming apparatus.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a receiving section, and a controller. The image forming section forms a plurality of images on a plurality of sheets. The receiving section receives a print job including a layout format indicating a layout of the images on the sheets. The controller controls the image forming section based on the print job. Each of the images indicates an image expressed by image data of a single page. The print job includes an instruction to form the images on the sheets according to a plurality of mutually different layout formats.
Image forming apparatus and program for determining an output mode
The present disclosure pertains to an image forming apparatus that may include a hardware processor that may: receive a print job; acquire position information of a user; determine an output mode of a printed matter on the basis of the acquired position information; and execute the print job and output the printed matter in the determined output mode.
Method of producing output product by outputting appropriate code corresponding to output condition, and storage medium storing code conversion program
An output product producing method includes acquiring output information, specifying an output condition for an output section, converting the output information into a code having an error-correction amount corresponding to the output condition, and causing the output section to output an output product including the code under the output condition.
Print setting process for a medium and printed-matter producing apparatus
The disclosure discloses a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a printed-matter producing program for executing steps on a controller of a printed-matter producing apparatus. In a consistency determination step, it is determined whether or not medium specification information acquired is identical to medium specification information stored in a medium specification information storage memory. In a medium specification information replacement step, the stored medium specification information is not replaced with the acquired medium specification information in the case that the acquired medium specification information is identical, and the stored medium specification information is replaced with the acquired medium specification information in the case that the acquired medium specification information is not identical. In a printed-matter production step, a feeder and a printing head is controlled on the basis of one piece of the medium specification information stored in the medium specification information storage memory to produce a printed matter.
