A process for plasmonic-based high resolution color printing is provided. The process includes a) providing a nanostructured substrate surface having a reverse structure geometry comprised of nanopits and nanoposts on a support, and b) forming a conformal continuous metal coating over the nanostructured substrate surface to generate a continuous metal film, the continuous metal film defining nanostructures for the plasmonic-based high resolution color printing, wherein a periodicity of the nanostructures is equal to or less than a diffraction limit of visible light. A nanostructured metal film or metal-film coated support obtained by the process and a method for generating a color image are also provided.

A server includes a photo filter module with instructions executed by a processor to identify when a client device captures a photograph. Photograph filters are selected based upon attributes of the client device and attributes of the photograph. The photograph filters are supplied to the client device.

There is provided an imaging device including: a signal processing unit configured to cause a series of picture data being continuously acquired to be temporarily stored in a buffer memory area in a signal processing process, read out the series of picture data from the buffer memory area, and perform a subsequent signal processing; and a control unit configured to perform control for deleting at least a part of the picture data stored in the buffer memory area, on a basis of detecting a predetermined operation while the signal processing is being performed on the series of picture data by the signal processing unit.

A printer-verifier system for providing print quality feedback and controlling print quality is provided. The printer-verifier system may include a printing mechanism configured to print a machine-readable indicia on a print media; a verifier device configured to optically scan the machine-readable indicia; and a print quality monitoring device in electronic communication with the printing mechanism and the verifier device.

Systems and methods for enhancing digitally informed delivery of delivery items, such as mail or packages. A delivery item has an associated digital resource(s), such as electronic text, a digital file, an image, a web page(s), or the like. The delivery item includes an indicia, such as a bar code, that provides access to, or references, the digital resource. When the delivery item is processed during transit from the sender to the recipient of the delivery item, the indicia is read, and the associated digital resource is identified therefrom. The delivery service transmits, to the recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is enroute to the recipient and also indicating the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the digital resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.

A mobile client device includes a photo controller to identify when a client device captures a picture. Photo filters are designated based upon attributes of the mobile client device. The picture with a selected photo filter is sent to a server for routing to other client devices.

Client identifier watermarks in media signals are disclosed. An example apparatus to watermark a multilayered file includes a watermark storage to store media identifiers. The example apparatus also includes an encoder to encode a first bit sequence in the media file on a first encoding layer of a multilayered watermark, the first bit sequence to include a client identifier of a client associated with the media file, and encode a second bit sequence in the media file on a second encoding layer of the multilayered watermark, the second bit sequence to include a media identifier to identify media corresponding to the media file.

A supporting program is executable by a controller of an information processing apparatus and corresponds to a printer connected to the information processing apparatus. The supporting program causes the information processing apparatus to perform processing intermediate image data in accordance with a print parameter received in a print parameter editing process, displaying an image indicated by the processed inter mediate image data on a print preview screen. A system and method for enhancing digitally informed delivery of delivery items such as mail. The sender of a delivery item creates custom electronic text, files, images, web pages, or other electronic/digital resource(s) to provide to the recipient. A postage meter, a server of the delivery service, or the like creates a digital indicia that includes the digital resource, associating it with the delivery item. When the delivery item is processed by the delivery service equipment during transit, the digital indicia is read and the associated digital resource is are identified therefrom. The delivery service equipment transmits, to the delivery item recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is en-route to the recipient, and also provides the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.
