Apparatus, system and method for implementing switch-over control
An image processing device and method of controlling an image processing device to be in communication with one of a plurality of external printer controllers is provided. The method includes monitoring, at initiation of the image processing device, a communication address assigned to the image processing device to detect whether a current communication address is different from a previously assigned communication address and acquiring, from memory, a configuration data object associated with the current communication address in response to detecting that the current communication address is different from the previously assigned communication address. The configuration data object being associated with the current communication address and includes one or more parameters for controlling one or more operations of the image processing device. The image processing device is automatically configured the image processing device using the one or more parameters acquired from the configuration data object.
System for publishing digital images
A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. The mobile device is thereafter in selective communication with a server (12) that stores digital images, maintains a user profile corresponding to the user of the mobile device, and publishes digital images to at least one digital address (24, 26, 28, 30).

An image forming apparatus including a wireless communication circuitry configured to make a wireless communication with a portable information processing device including a display unit; and a computer and a memory storing a program causing the computer to execute: a recognition step recognizing a portable information processing device that is within a communicable range through communication via the wireless communication circuitry; a job setting step receiving a job setting, and a job control step receiving a start instruction and executing the job in response to the start instruction, wherein the job setting step receives the job setting, which is made in the portable information processing device, via the wireless communication circuitry after the portable information processing device falls within the communicable range.
Print system
A print system includes a client device, plural mobile printers, and a server device. The client device issues a print instruction in accordance with a user operation. The plural mobile printers each receive a print instruction and move to a destination indicated by the print instruction so as to perform printing at the destination. The server device selects a mobile printer which will perform printing based on a print instruction issued by the client device, in accordance with selection standards including judgement standards for judging whether or not it is necessary to distribute a print instruction over plural mobile printers or to transfer a print instruction from one mobile printer to another mobile printer.

A system to supervise an operator working in an environment exposed to ionizing radiation. A supervision center includes a processor, memory, screen and network connection facility. A radiation detector/meter connected to the operator obtains and transmits a measurement of the exposure intensity to the supervision center. A radiofrequency tag connected to the detector/meter provides geolocation of the detector/meter. The memory stores a map of the exposed environment including a map of the exposure intensity, and a history file containing a record of the measurement, the date of the measurement and the location of the detector corresponding to the measurement. The memory stores a planning file containing a list, duration, location and scheduling of the operator tasks. A connecting terminal is connected to the network and provided to the operator.

When other user is using an image forming apparatus before an output-permitted user having issued a security job reaches the image forming apparatus, security is lowered and also it takes some time until processing of security job is completed. The image forming apparatus notifies the output-permitted user of information indicating that other user is using the image forming apparatus in a case where the other user present near the image forming apparatus (own apparatus) is using the image forming apparatus. With this arrangement, the output-permitted user can know whether or not the other user is using the image forming apparatus before the output-permitted user reaches the image forming apparatus.

A wireless communication unit forms any one of a first wireless network and a second wireless network, and performs wireless communication with a terminal device. An NFC communication unit performs short distance wireless communication with a terminal device. A controller switches a network of the wireless communication, which is formed by the wireless communication unit, from the first wireless network to the second wireless network, in response to the short distance wireless communication with the terminal device in a case in which the wireless communication unit forms the first wireless network.

A PC registers in advance PC-assistant copying functions which can be provided by the printer driver for a MFP. The MFP presents, to the user, copying functions including the registered functions. Upon reception of a copy instruction, the MFP determines whether selected functions include a PC-assisted copying function. If the selected functions include a PC-assisted copying function, the MFP transmits, to the PC, scanned image data and a job ticket containing information representing the selected functions. Upon reception of the job ticket, the PC generates a print job for printing the image data on the basis of the job ticket, and transmits the print job to the MFP.
A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TRANSFER OF PRINT DATA, A CLIENT CONTROLLER ARRANGEMENT, A PRINT ARRANGEMENT AND A NETWORK
The present invention relates to a method for controlling transfer of print data from clients connected in a network to shared printing devices connected in the network. The method comprises the steps of: providing (S1) print data upon reception of a request to send to a printing device connected in the network, forming (S2) header information for the print data based on information provided by a configurable logic means, wherein said header information comprises information related to at least one designated printing device controller (140) identified based on the request to print to a printing device, processing (S3) the print data so as to provide processed print data comprising the formed header information, sending (S4) the processed print data to the at least one designated printing device controller (140), receiving (S5) the processed print data at the designated printing device controller, reading (S6) at the destination printing device controller the header information of the received processed print data and controlling (S7) the processed print data in accordance with the header information. The controlling comprises forming (S8) reconstructed print data from the processed print data at a destination printing device controller based on the header information, and providing (S9) the reconstructed print data to the printing device.
The invention also relates to a client controller arrangement, a printer arrangement and a network.
