Reading kit and image reading apparatus
Provided is a reading kit including a reading unit configured to read an image of an original being conveyed in a predetermined direction at a predetermined reading position, and a white reference sheet comprising a white reference portion to be read by the reading unit and an engaged portion to be engaged with a positioning member. The white reference portion being arranged at the predetermined reading position by engaging the engaged portion with the positioning member.
INFORMATION DETECTING DEVICE, READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION DETECTING METHOD
An information detecting device detects information from a target. The information detecting device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to perform a first information acquisition operation of acquiring first information from a target criterion, a second information acquisition operation of acquiring second information from the target, and an information conversion operation of converting the second information acquired by the second information acquisition operation, into third information, with the first information acquired by the first information acquisition operation, the third information having a dimension different from respective dimensions of the first information and the second information; and perform control such that an information-acquisition condition in the first information acquisition operation is identical to an information-acquisition condition in the second information acquisition operation.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a reader, a reference plate, a transportation mechanism, and a processor. The reader reads a line image in a main scanning direction. The transportation mechanism transports the reader in a sub-scanning direction. The processor reads a first number of line images across a first line width in the sub-scanning direction from the reference plate, on each block that results from division in the sub-scanning direction, which is performed by causing the reader to be transported using the transportation mechanism. Thus, the processor detects foreign matter on each block that is set to be on the reference plate, selects a reading block for reading shading data, from a block on which the foreign matter is not present, and reads the first number of line images, as the shading data, across a second line width that is narrower than the first line width.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a carriage, a reference plate, a transportation mechanism, and a processor. The carriage acquires an image in a main scanning direction. The transportation mechanism transports the carriage in a sub-scanning direction. The processor causes the carriage to move in a first direction using the transportation mechanism and thereby detects foreign matter that is present on the reference plate, using the carriage. When the carriage is caused to move in the first direction and thus shading data is acquired from the reference plate, the processor reads the shading data from a data acquisition area other than an area where the foreign matter is present. If the carriage is caused to move in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction and thereby shading data is acquired from the reference plate, the processor reads the shading data from the data acquisition area.
COLOR INSPECTION DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, COLOR INSPECTION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A color inspection device includes a reading device and circuitry. The reading device images a reference object and a color detection object to obtain readings of each of the reference object and the color detection object. The circuitry corrects the readings of the color detection object by using a correction coefficient that is generated from the readings of the reference object and color information measured for each arbitrary region of the reference object.
Image reading apparatus and method for controlling an image reading apparatus
A continuous reading mode is a mode in which reading of a document placed on a contact glass is continued and a job is started after completion of reading is accepted. In reading of the second and subsequent sheets of the document in a set reading range, a reading controller does not move the position of the reading line of an image sensor to outside the end position of the reading range in the sub-scanning direction as seen from a home position.
OPTICAL SENSOR DEVICE, COLORIMETRIC DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An optical sensor device includes a first light source, a second light source, a sensor, and control circuitry. The first light source has a plurality of peak wavelengths in a wavelength range of 400 nm to 780 nm. The second light source emits ultraviolet light. The control circuitry adjusts a light amount of the first light source based on an output of the sensor in a state the first light source is on and the second light source is off, adjusts a light amount of the second light source based on an output of the sensor in a state the second light source is on and the first light source is off, and acquires a correction value of data output by the sensor, based on an output of the sensor in a state each of the first and second light sources is on with the light amount adjusted.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head and processing circuitry. The liquid discharge head is configured to discharge, to a foamable medium, liquid having a function of suppressing foaming of the medium to form irregularities. The processing circuitry is configured to hold condition information indicating a content defined by each of a plurality of conditions related to image formation at a time when the liquid forms a predetermined pattern image on the medium; and generate and output, for each condition of the plurality of conditions, an evaluation medium on which irregularities corresponding to the predetermined pattern image formed according to the condition are formed.
Shading correction apparatus and method for operating shading correction apparatus
A first resin plate includes a phthalocyanine-based pigment as an organic fluorescent material and is used for shading correction in a case in which infrared excitation light with a center wavelength of 770 nm to 800 nm. A second resin plate includes an anthraquinone-based pigment as the organic fluorescent material and is used for shading correction in a case in which red excitation light with a center wavelength of 650 nm to 690 nm. An acquisition unit acquires a reference image obtained by irradiating the resin plates with the infrared excitation light and the red excitation light, respectively. A correction unit performs shading correction for a fluorescence image on the basis of the reference image.
IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS
An image scanning apparatus determines whether there is an influence of external light from the outside of the image scanning apparatus on scanning; decides a correction value corresponding to each of a plurality of sensors based on received light amounts of at least some of the plurality of sensors; and corrects, using the correction value corresponding to each of the plurality of sensors and decided, data corresponding to a received light amount of each of the plurality of sensors when scanning the original, wherein if it is determined that there is the influence of the external light, the image scanning apparatus decides the correction value corresponding to a first sensor and the correction value corresponding to a second sensor arranged at a position that is readily influenced by the external light based on the received light amount of the first sensor.
