An image processing apparatus includes: a display unit configured to display an operation screen; an acquisition unit configured to acquire biological information of a user performing operation using the operation screen, the biological information varying reflecting a state of the user; and a registration control unit configured to control operation of registering information on the operation screen and the biological information of the user in association with each other.

An image apparatus management system includes a plurality of image apparatuses, a transmission device, and a processor. Each image apparatus of the plurality of image apparatuses is utilized to record surrounding images and generates at least one image file. The transmission device has a plurality of ports for electrically connecting to the plurality of image apparatuses. The processor is used for selecting at least one image apparatus according to a comparison condition from at least one image apparatus currently connected with the transmission device as at least one standby image apparatus to be utilized.

A login and logout system includes an electronic device, a camera, a storage device, a login control unit, a face-image managing unit, and a logout control unit. The login control unit controls a login of a user of the electronic device. The face-image managing unit manages a face image of the user. The logout control unit controls a logout of the user. The face-image managing unit writes the face image that is captured by the camera at a specific timing pertaining to the login permitted by the login control unit to the storage device. After the login of the user is permitted by the login control unit, the logout control unit causes the user to log out when the user becomes unauthenticated by a face authentication based on the face image captured by the camera and the face image stored in the storage device.

An exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept provides a display device including: a display unit including a plurality of pixels disposed on a display area; a display controller configured to control the display unit; a sensor including a plurality of first sensing electrodes and a plurality of second sensing electrodes disposed in the display area; and a sensor controller configured to recognize a touch of a user inputted into the sensor in a touch sensing mode and to recognize a fingerprint of the user inputted into the sensor in a fingerprint sensing mode, wherein the sensor controller changes a mode to the fingerprint sensing mode when no touch is inputted for a predetermined time period in the touch sensing mode and changes the mode to the touch sensing mode when authorization on a fingerprint inputted into the sensor is succeeded in the fingerprint sensing mode.

An image output system includes a section that stores registration information in which feature information of a registered user and a target file registered by the registered user are associated with each other, a section that acquires feature information of a current user requesting an output of an image of the target file, a section that obtains an authentication result indicating whether or not two pieces of feature information satisfy a predetermined coincidence condition, by comparing the feature information of the current user to the feature information of the registered user, and a section that controls the output of the image of the target file in accordance with the authentication result.

A scanning device for automatically scanning and processing a document includes a port for communicating with a portable memory device, an image sensor, a processing device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium. The processing device is configured to detect a trigger event by detecting that the portable memory device is communicatively coupled to the port, automatically determine a scan instruction having at least one scan setting, determine whether the portable memory device includes one or more security instructions, determine whether biometric information associated with an authenticated user is available, identify the biometric information as a secure access token, automatically cause the image sensor to scan a physical document to generate a digital document file corresponding to the physical document based on the scan instruction, and save the digital document file to the portable memory device with the secure access token.

Output devices or systems, such as televisions, speakers, projectors, or output controllers, are herein disclosed and enabled for wirelessly receiving digital content from a digital content service or from an information apparatus. The disclosed output device includes wireless communication circuitry and an interface. To set up the output device for receiving and playing the digital content, the output device first receives, via the interface, security information, and then establishes a wireless local area network connection. Subsequent to having established the wireless local area network connection, the output device connects to a server over a network, using the wireless communication circuitry, for downloading and installing software applications or software components for upgrading or modifying the capabilities of the output device. Thereafter, the output device is setup for receiving the digital content from the information apparatus and from the service using the downloaded and installed software components.

An image forming apparatus including a communication circuit configured to establish proximity communication with a biometric authentication apparatus, a display, and a processor configured to perform authentication processing with biological information detected by the biometric authentication apparatus is provided. The processor is configured to carry out control for reducing a quantity of light output from the display and incident on the biometric authentication apparatus during detection of the biological information by the biometric authentication apparatus when the processor receives information representing optical detection of the biological information by the biometric authentication apparatus from the biometric authentication apparatus through the communication circuit.

A system and method for securing transaction between a user and an electronic device or an electronic document, where the device or document is accessible and controllable by a user with a user electronic device. A transaction request is initiated by the user electronic device, the electronic device is connectable to a network and the electronic document is accessible over the network. The system includes a smart box connectable to the network and having a processor and memory storing general purpose and special purpose software. One or more monitoring bots storable in the memory of the smart box are configured to collect data for the transaction request pertaining to at least one of the user, a process or a the transaction.

Information apparatus and application software supporting printing over air or network are herein disclosed and enabled. The information apparatus may include one or more software components that include (1) a discovery component to discover a supported printer in a local area network (LAN) and to receive device information related to the printer (e.g., capability, language or format supported, identification) from the printer, and (2) a printing component to generate or obtain print data based on the device information received and to transmit the print data to the discovered printer. After establishing the connection to the LAN, application software (e.g., Internet browser, email, photos, documents) in the information apparatus may print digital content by using the discovery component to discover the printer in the LAN, and may use the printing component to obtain and transmit print data in a form that is acceptable to the printer for printing the digital content.
