Described herein is a seed conveyor assembly that delivers seed to a planting surface in a controlled manner to maintain seed placement accuracy within a trench. In one embodiment, a seed guide for a seed conveyor assembly includes a relief portion and an introduction portion that includes at least one protrusion. The protrusion is angled from a side of the introduction portion toward the center of the introduction portion. The end of the protrusion is proximate the center of the introduction portion being further from the relief portion.

Inline product metering system for fertilizer and seed application system

The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes an inline metering system including a number of metering devices associated with each compartment of a particulate material tank on the applicator to meter the particulate material disposed within each compartment. The individual metering devices include gates to initially enable the particulate material from a compartment to enter the metering device, and a rotary metering shaft to meter the flow of the particulate material into the conduits while limiting the passage of pressurized air through the metering device and into the compartment. The individual metering devices also include individual motors to control the operation of the metering devices independently from one another that can allow with sectional control and turning compensation.

FLOW CONTROL INSERT FOR AN AGRICULTURAL METERING SYSTEM

A flow control insert for an agricultural metering system includes a body configured to couple the flow control insert to a housing of the agricultural metering system. The flow control insert also includes a shoulder extending from the body. The shoulder is configured to engage a channel in a meter roller to control flow of particulate material within the channel along a rotational direction of the meter roller.

Quick release bearing couplers

An agricultural metering system includes a releasable bearing coupler configured to selectively couple a meter roller to a housing of the agricultural metering system. The releasable bearing coupler includes a shaft configured to be disposed through an opening in the housing and to engage a bearing, wherein the bearing is configured to be disposed within a recess of the meter roller to facilitate rotation of the meter roller about the shaft and to couple the meter roller to the housing via contact with the shaft. The releasable bearing coupler includes a locking segment configured to selectively interlock with a corresponding locking feature of the housing to secure the releasable bearing coupler to the housing.

System and computer-implemented method for facilitating transfers of product containers between a station and an autonomous machine

A control system is operable to control an autonomous machine for autonomously applying one or more products to a jobsite in accordance with a set of operation instructions. The products are stored in one or more interchangeable containers which are initially located on a station. The control system broadly includes an alignment sensor and a machine processor. The alignment sensor is configured to sense and generate alignment data regarding a relative position of the station and a particular container that contains a particular product. The machine processor is configured to align the autonomous machine with the station and the particular container based on the alignment data from the alignment sensor, and transfer the particular container from the station to the autonomous machine; move the autonomous machine over the jobsite and apply the particular product from the particular container in accordance with the set of operation instructions; and align the autonomous machine with the station based on the alignment data from the alignment sensor, and transfer the particular container from the autonomous machine to the station.

METERS FOR FERTILIZERS, SMALL SEEDS, AND CHEMICAL PRODUCTS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Meters for fertilizers, small seeds, and chemicals include a housing defining a loading chamber, a rotatable metering disk provided with a receiving surface and a discharge surface, the disk including metering orifices; a ring including a discharge opening, and an insulating barrier arranged in the interior of the housing, the insulation barrier forming an insulating chamber on the rotatable disk and defining an inlet region of the disk and an output region of the disk; a metering bulkhead associated with the insulating barrier in the inlet region of the rotating disk with metering orifices loaded, the metering bulkhead being arranged on the rotatable metering disk so that a lower portion of the metering bulkhead is coplanar to the receiving surface of the rotatable disk.

Crop Growth System Including a Seeder and Associated Harvester
20190289774 · 2019-09-26 ·

A method for growing plants includes both a seeder and a harvester both of which include arrangements for singulating the seeds and for measuring parameters of the seeds while singulated. This can be used for seeding selected seeds and for harvesting particular plants. The system operates by correlating information from the individual seeded seeds and from the harvested seeds in respect of a particular location on the growth medium and may include information relating the growth medium at the location. The location can be determined by seeding the plants in patterns which can be detected by a reader on the harvester. The system can be used to control selection of seeds to take into account soil conditions at the plant.
