An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where data to be transmitted includes one or more information items to be protected, present in an operation screen regarding data transmission an image indicating inclusion of the one or more information items to be protected, terminate presentation of the image in response to the one or more information items to be protected being excluded by a user operation, and in response to a transmission operation to transmit the data, present a warning if the transmission operation is performed while the image is presented.

An information processing apparatus includes a first reception unit, a first transmission unit, and a processing unit. The first reception unit receives a use request for use of specific data, which are necessary when using the apparatus itself, from a terminal device held by a user of the apparatus itself. The first transmission unit transmits positional information which indicates a position, in a data management apparatus that manages the specific data, at which the specific data which are available to the user are stored, to the terminal device in response to reception of the use request. Examples disclosed herein relate to extracting a plurality of features from a document according to a heuristic extraction model, generating a vector representation of the document according to the plurality of extracted features, associating at least one security rule with the document, determining if a received vector representation matches the stored vector representation of the document, and providing a response to a requested action on the document according to the determination.

Examples dis closed herein relate to receiving a first request to begin a first operation on a physical document, receiving a second request to begin a second operation, determining whether the first operation has completed, and in response to determining that the first operation has not completed, delay performance of the second operation.

A multi-function peripheral and an information processing apparatus are capable of communicating with each other. In one authentication setting of the information processing apparatus, functions restricted in use are disabled from being set. In another authentication setting of the information processing apparatus, when an operation on a function restricted in use is performed on a screen associated with functions of the multi-function peripheral, the information processing apparatus displays an authentication screen to cause the multi-function peripheral to execute an authentication process based on information input via the authentication screen, and if a result of the authentication process transmitted from the multi-function peripheral indicates that the authentication is successful, the screen is controlled to receive the operation on the function from the user.

A file provision system includes a file generation apparatus and a file relay apparatus. The file generation apparatus includes first circuitry. The first circuitry provides a user terminal with device identification information identifying the file generation apparatus and access destination information indicating an access destination to the file relay apparatus. The first circuitry transmits the device identification information of the file generation apparatus to the file relay apparatus. The file relay apparatus includes second circuitry. The second circuitry receives the device identification information from the user terminal in response to an access from the user terminal. The second circuitry transmits the data file received from the file generation apparatus corresponding to the received device identification information to the user terminal as a source of the access or transfer the data file to a transfer destination designated by the user terminal as the source of the access.
