Tactile vibration signals are transferred favorably in synchronization with audio signals. Transfer signals for respective blocks each including a plurality of frames are sequentially transmitted to a receiver side via a predetermined transfer line. The transfer signals include a predetermined number of channels of audio signals and a predetermined number of channels of tactile vibration signals. For example, the tactile vibration signals are generated on the basis of media signals associated with the audio signals. For example, configuration information of the predetermined number of channels of audio signals and the predetermined number of channels of tactile vibration signals is added to the transfer signals.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

The disclosure is to provide a display apparatus capable of increasing user convenience by outputting a screen and a sound under predetermined conditions when outputting a split screen, and a method of controlling the display apparatus. The display apparatus of the disclosure includes a speaker; a display; and in response to input of an output command for outputting the plurality of contents to the plurality of regions of the display, a controller configured to output image signals of a plurality of contents to a plurality of regions, and to output sound signals of the plurality of contents to the speaker. Sizes of the plurality of regions and an output intensity of the sound signal corresponding to the plurality of contents are configured to be determined based on priority information predetermined based on the plurality of contents.

Wireless Audio Synchronization Using a Spread Code

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for synchronizing playback of audiovisual content among multiple speakers. In some embodiments, a first smart speaker receives a spread spectrum signal from a second smart speaker over an audio data channel. The first smart speaker despreads the spread spectrum signal based on a spreading code. The first smart speaker determines a time of receipt of the spread spectrum signal based on the despreading. The first smart speaker receives a time of transmission of the spread spectrum signal. The first smart speaker then calculates a playback delay based on the time of receipt and the time of transmission. Then the first smart speaker controls the playback of the audiovisual content based on the playback delay.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLASSIFYING BEAMFORMED SIGNALS FOR BINAURAL AUDIO PLAYBACK

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving a signal for each channel of an audio transducer array on a wearable device. The method may also include calculating a beamformed signal for each beam direction of a set of beamforming filters for the wearable device. Additionally, the method may include classifying a first beamformed signal from the calculated beamformed signals into a first class of sound and a second beamformed signal from the calculated beamformed signals into a second class of sound. The method may also include adjusting, based on the classifying, a gain of the first beamformed signal relative to the second beamformed signal. Furthermore, the method may include converting the beamformed signals into spatialized binaural audio based on a position of a user. Finally, the method may include transmitting the spatialized binaural audio to a playback device. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Display apparatus and recording medium

A display apparatus including: a display; a loudspeaker; a user input unit; a video processor configured to process a video signal to be displayed as an image on the display, and change a viewpoint of the image displayed on the display in response to a user input made through the user input unit; and an audio processor configured to process an audio signal to be output as a sound from the loudspeaker, determine acoustic features of the audio signal, and adjust the output of the sound from the loudspeaker according to the acoustic features in response to the user input.

Method for processing a plurality of A/V signals in a rendering system and associated rendering apparatus and system

The disclosure relates to a method for processing at least first and second audiovisual signals in a rendering system. Each of the first and second audiovisual signals include a video content and an audio content. The rendering system having a main display, an auxiliary display and a first audio output. The method includes: displaying the video content of the first audiovisual signal on the main display and the video content of the second audiovisual signal on the auxiliary display and playing the audio content of the first audiovisual signal on the first audio output, detecting an event in the audio content of the second audiovisual signal, and upon detection of the event, playing the audio content of the second audiovisual signal, instead of the audio content of the first audiovisual signal.

AUDIO AND VIDEO STREAM RENDERING MODIFICATION BASED ON DEVICE ROTATION METRIC

Disclosed techniques include audio and visual stream rendering modification based on device rotation metric. One or more media streams are received from a server. The one or more media streams are targeted for display on a handheld media stream playback device. An orientation of the handheld device is determined during playback of at least one of the one or more media streams on the handheld device. A change in orientation of the handheld device is detected. The change occurs during playback of the at least one of the one or more media streams. Based on detecting the change in orientation, a rotation angle of the handheld device is calculated. Based on the rotation angle, the playback of at least one of the one or more media streams is changed on the handheld device.

Audio synchronization of a dumb speaker and a smart speaker using a spread code

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for synchronizing playback of audiovisual content with a dumb speaker. In some embodiments, a display device transmits a spread spectrum signal to a dumb speaker over a data channel using a spread spectrum code. The display device then receives the spread spectrum signal from the dumb speaker over an audio data channel. The display device despreads the spread spectrum signal based on the spreading code. The display device determines a time of receipt of the spread spectrum signal. The display device calculates an audiovisual output path delay for the dumb speaker based on the time of receipt and a time of transmission. The display device then synchronizes the playback of the audiovisual content at the dumb speaker and a smart speaker based on the audiovisual output path delay.
