Priority control for directional display device
An information processing device includes: a unit to acquire position information on a first user and a second user; a display control unit to cause a display device capable of varying display contents according to display directions to display first contents so as to be viewable from a position of the first user and to display second contents so as to be viewable from a position of the second user; a unit to detect that the first user and the second user are in a predetermined positional relationship; and a unit to judge whether or not a user has viewing authority with respect to contents, wherein when the predetermined positional relationship is detected, the display control unit causes the display device to stop display of contents, for which at least one of the first user and the second user does not have viewing authority.
Three-dimensional image system for multiple 3D display
A three-dimensional image system includes a monitor that displays an image signal as an image for three-dimensional observation, glasses for three-dimensional observation for observing, as a three-dimensional image, the image for three-dimensional observation displayed on a display section of the monitor, a storing section that is provided in the glasses for three-dimensional observation and stores an image parameter correction value for three-dimensional observation for correcting image parameters for three-dimensional observation for giving a cubic effect of the image for three-dimensional observation displayed on the display section, a scanning section that scans the glasses for three-dimensional observation in order to read information stored in the storing section, and a control section that performs control to set, according to a scanning result of the scanning section, the image parameter correction value for three-dimensional observation in the monitor.
DYNAMIC IMAGE ADJUSTMENT TO ENHANCE OFF- AXIS VIEWING IN A DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
A display assembly includes a display console displaying at least one image on an image plane. The image is divided into a plurality of pixels. A controller is operatively connected to the display console and includes a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions for executing a method for dynamically adjusting the image in real-time for off-axis viewing. The controller is programmed to generate a compensation-over-viewing-angle map which includes respective compensation factors for each of the plurality of pixels for multiple viewing positions. In one embodiment, the controller is programmed to apply separate respective compensation factors for the instantaneous viewing positions of a first user at a time j and a second user at a time k. In another embodiment, the controller is programmed to apply first and second compensation factors simultaneously at a time m, for a first image and a second image, respectively.
3D image adjustment method and 3D display apparatus using the same
A three-dimensional image adjustment method includes: displaying a three-dimensional image, which is composed by a first to Nth two-dimensional images with respective different viewing angles and formed by projecting the N two-dimensional images through a first to Nth viewing angles of a three-dimensional display apparatus, respectively, and the D1th to D2th of the N viewing angles are defined to a normal-viewing zone; and shifting the N two-dimensional images in first or second direction according to positions of first and second viewers, the D1th and D2th viewing angles, and projecting the N two-dimensional images through the first to Nth viewing angles, respectively, when the first and second viewers are located at the L1th and L2th of the N viewing angles, respectively, wherein at least one of the L1th and L2th viewing angle is located out of the normal-viewing zone. A three-dimensional display apparatus is also provided.
Light field display system based amusement park attraction
A light filed (LF) display system for displaying holographic content to viewers in an amusement park (e.g., as part of an amusement park ride). The LF display system in an amusement park includes LF display modules tiled together to form an array of LF modules. In some embodiments, the LF display system includes a tracking system and/or a viewer profiling module. The tracking system and viewer profiling module can monitor and store characteristics of viewers on the amusement park ride, a viewer profile describing a viewer, and/or responses of viewers to the holographic content during the amusement park ride. The holographic content created for display on an amusement park ride can be based on any of the monitored or stored information.
