Geolocationing system and method for use of same
A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented. In one embodiment of the geolocationing system, a vertical and horizontal array of gateway devices is provided. Each gateway device includes a gateway device identification providing an accurately-known fixed location within the multi-space environment. Each gateway device includes a wireless transceiver that receives a beacon signal from a proximate wireless-enabled personal locator device. The gateway devices, in turn, send gateway signals to a server, which determines an estimated location of the wireless-enabled personal locator device.
RETROFITTABLE AND NEW-INSTALLATION IN-FLIGHT WIRELESS MESH NETWORK DRAWING POWER FROM AIRPLANE SEAT ELECTRONICS BOX
In-flight wireless network systems and solutions are described. According to an embodiment, the in-flight wireless network system includes a wireless router connected to one or more in-flight media servers of an aircraft and to an onboard high-speed wireless communication transceiver module. The system includes one or more strategically located wireless access points installed across the passenger cabin of the aircraft to provide connectivity to user devices and inflight data nodes, wherein each of the one or more wireless access points is powered from preinstalled Seat Electronic Box (SEB). SEBs already placed near each seat include a power supply, which can be used to power the access points.
Methods for providing access to recordings of game play and generation of custom camera views of the game play
A computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes executing a game application on one or more servers of a data center. The game application is for a game and the game is played by a first user of a first client device remote to the data center. The one or more servers interfaced with one or more encoders for compressing interactive video from the game application responsive to input from the first client device and streaming of the interactive video in a compressed format to the first client device for decompression and rendering to a display of the first client device. The method includes storing, at the data center, a recording of at least part of the game played by the first user using the first client device. The method includes storing, at the data center, state data for at least part of the game played by the first user using the first client device. The method includes generating a replay of the recording responsive to input from a second user device. The replay is generated with a different camera view from a camera view in the recording. The replay is executed using as input the state data.
Thermostat and system and method for use of same
A thermostat and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, multiple wireless transceivers are located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes a processor and memory. To improve convenience, the thermostat may establish a pairing with a proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device having a display. Virtual remote control functionality for various amenities may then be provided. To improve safety, the thermostat may be incorporated into a geolocation and safety network.
Systems and methods for matching audio to video punchout
An image capture device may capture multiple audio content during capture of visual content. A viewing window for the visual content and rotational position of the image capture device during capture of the visual content may be used to generate modified audio content from the multiple audio content. The modified audio content may provide sound for playback of a punchout of the visual content using the viewing window.
Methods and systems for loading data onto transportation vehicles
Methods and systems for a transportation vehicle are provided. One method includes initializing a first browser at an electronic device to communicate with a remote virtual loader having access to data for an in-flight entertainment (IFE) system of an aircraft; authenticating the first browser by the remote virtual loader; providing IFE data for the IFE system to the first browser by the remote virtual loader with an instruction to grant access to the IFE data by a second browser of the electronic device, the second browser authenticated by the IFE system to send information to the IFE system; and transferring the IFE data from the electronic device to the IFE system by the second browser that obtains access to the IFE data from the first browser in response to the instruction from the remote virtual loader.
Secure wireless dataloading using in-flight entertainment connectivity systems
Devices, systems and methods for enhancing aircraft maintenance are disclosed. An exemplary method for improving dataloading in an airplane includes retrieving, from an in-flight entertainment connectivity (IFEC) system, at least one avionics software, the IFEC system comprising a mass storage device comprising a first storage segment and a second storage segment, the first storage segment being a secure storage segment configured to store the at least one avionics software, and the second storage segment being configured to store media content, and loading, using a wireless network converter coupled to a wired legacy port, the at least one avionics software onto a target avionics system.
GAME MOMENT IMPLEMENTATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A method for implementing a moment of a videogame for playing a portion of a videogame; it includes receiving user selection input of a moment of a particular videogame associated with starting at a particular progress point of the particular videogame; causing an emulation to start of the particular videogame for streaming on the computer of the user; performing image analysis of the image stream to generate metadata on progress of the particular game by the user; determining if one or more end conditions of the moment is met through analysis of the metadata; and causing the emulation to end, resulting in an end of the streaming of the particular game on the computer of the user, if the one or more end conditions is met.
Public address pause module
A system and method for use of a public address pause module with an onboard entertainment system of an aircraft cabin. The module includes a connector for connecting the module to an aircraft public address speaker and an audio detection circuit connected with respect to the connector. A micro controller unit is connected with respect to the audio detection circuit to determine whether a measured voltage of the public address speaker exceeds a pre-set threshold for a pre-determined time period and to generate a pause signal. A wireless transmitter communicates the pause signal to the onboard entertainment system thereby pausing the onboard entertainment system during onboard use of the public address speaker.
