AUTOMATED CONTENT SELECTION FOR GROUPS
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system and method for selecting media content for a group of persons located at a venue. The system and method identify a plurality of viewers in a vicinity of a venue that has one or more display devices from location data and extracts a content viewing preference of each viewer from their profile data. The process includes aggregating the content viewing preference of each of the plurality of viewers to generate an aggregated content profile. Based on the aggregated content profile, a list of content is generated. Next, a first group of viewers approaching a viewing range of a display device are sensed by imaging data. Any conflicts between content viewing preferences of the first group of viewers are detected and resolved based on weighting the viewing preferences of the group. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Priority Media Content
A cloud-based computing system is configured to (i) maintain a scheduled playlist of media items, a current playback position within the scheduled playlist, and a priority media item for playback, (ii) receive, from a first playback device associated with a user account, a first request to play back the scheduled playlist, (iii) transmit the priority media item to the first playback device for playback before any media item from the scheduled playlist, (iv) receive, from a second playback device associated with the user account, a second request to play back the scheduled playlist, (v) determine that the priority media item should not be transmitted to the second playback device, and (vi) after determining that the priority media item should not be transmitted to the second playback device, transmit one or more media items from the scheduled playlist to the second playback device based on the current playback position within the scheduled playlist.
Microscope system, access-control assistance method, and computer readable medium
A microscope system includes a microscope that acquires a microscopic image and circuitry. The circuitry causes the microscope to perform a series of image-shooting operations for acquiring a plurality of microscopic images and outputs an access code generated in response to the start of the series of image-shooting operations, the access code being used to access image-shooting information pertaining to the series of image-shooting operations.
Systems and methods for modifying control of a device within a vehicle
Systems and methods for modifying control over a device in a vehicle are provided. The modification may comprise disabling an ability of a passenger to control the device via one or more passenger interface systems, limiting controls available to the passenger via the one or more passenger interface systems, transferring the ability to control the device to another user using a different user interface system, and/or transferring the ability to control certain functionalities of the device to another user using the different user interface system.
AIRCRAFT WIRELESS SPEAKER PAIRING MANAGEMENT WITH MULTIPLE PAIRING TRANSMITTERS
An aircraft includes a video display, first and second wireless pairing transmitters, and a media distribution processor. The video display is associated with an audio content stream and a seating location in the aircraft. The first wireless pairing transmitter is associated with the video display and has a first wireless coverage volume. The second wireless pairing transmitter has a second wireless coverage volume that overlaps the first wireless coverage volume. The media distribution processor is programmed and configured to: associate a wireless speaker device with the seating location; pair the first wireless pairing transmitter with the wireless speaker device in response to associating the wireless speaker device with the seating location; and direct the audio content stream through the first wireless pairing transmitter to the wireless speaker device in response to connecting the first wireless pairing transmitter with the wireless speaker device.
Localized cloud services for privacy-isolated clients
Various arrangements of a local cloud system for providing television services are presented. A facility cloud host system may have a content service provider interface that is used to receive live television channel streams from a television content service provider. The local cloud system may have a transcoder that transcodes the live television channels into a format to be transmitted locally to client devices. The local cloud system may provide access to recorded content from a remote master cloud host.
Priority media content
An example method includes maintaining (i) a scheduled playlist of media items for playback by one or more playback devices, (ii) a current playback position within the scheduled playlist, and (iii) a priority media item having a playback length. The method also includes receiving, from a playback device, a request to play back the scheduled playlist and, based on the received request, transmitting the priority media item to the playback device for playback beginning at a first time. The method also includes determining a next media item from the scheduled playlist based on the current playback position within the scheduled playlist at a second time that follows the first time by at least the playback length of the priority media item and, beginning with the next media item, transmitting one or more media items from the scheduled playlist to the playback device for playback after the priority media item.
Virtual Spectator Experience for Live Events
A live event virtual experience is provided. Emotions of virtual spectators to a current situation occurring in a live event at a physical venue are determined from received data regarding reactions of the virtual spectators to the live event using bias detection. A historical sound clip that matches the emotions of the virtual spectators to the current situation occurring in the live event is retrieved. The historical sound clip that matches the emotions of the virtual spectators to the current situation occurring in the live event is input into a machine learning model that performs inverse bias mitigation to amplify bias and applies in-process adversarial fairness debiasing. The historical sound clip after performing the inverse bias mitigation to amplify the bias and applying the in-process adversarial fairness debiasing is converted to a standardized historical sound segment length. A sound representation is generated from the standardized historical sound segment length.
Set-top box generating live-view interactive program guide having plurality of scaled-down video streams and method thereof
A set-top box receives original video streams and generates a guide video stream that includes each of the original video streams resized and arranged as a plurality of scaled video streams such that all of the scaled video streams are simultaneously visible and playing on the guide video stream. The guide video stream is displayed on a display device and the set-top box provides an interactive user interface on the display device in conjunction with the guide video stream to allow a user of the set-top box to select one of the scaled video streams for full screen playback. In response to the user selecting a particular scaled video stream on the guide video stream for full screen playback, the set-top box plays full screen on the display device a particular original video stream corresponding to the particular scaled video stream as received via the communication interface.
Automated self-test of cabin loudspeakers
A test module for functionally testing an audio device of an aircraft passenger service unit (PSU) is configured to allocate a first operating mode to a first individual audio device of one PSU of a set of PSUs during which, a test tone is emitted. The test module allocates a second operating mode to other audio devices different than the first audio device. In the second operating mode, the test tone emitted by the first audio device is intended to be received. The other audio devices each belong to different PSUs within the set of PSUs. The test module emits the test tone via the first audio device. The test module initiates a functional test of the first audio device. The functional test is based on the test tone received by the other audio devices. The test module may be part of a system and an aircraft.
