Method and platform for automatic selection of video sequences to fill a break in a program
A method for automatic selection of video sequences to fill a break in a broadcasted program, including determining an estimated duration of the break (b.sub.i) and selecting from a collection of videos, such as advertisements, a sequence of videos to be played out. The sequence has a second duration which is shorter than the estimated duration and the selection depends on broadcast priority criteria associated with at least some of said videos. The method also includes broadcasting the sequence of videos and broadcasting a fill-in video signal until the end of the break.
CONTENT SERVER AND METHOD SUPPORTING LOW-LATENCY CONTENT STREAMING
A content server and method supporting low-latency content streaming are proposed. The content server may include a communication unit and a controller. The communication unit may perform communication with a user terminal. The controller may calculate coordinates for a current user's location and camera pose and create a three-dimensional (3D) space by using terminal data including an image received from the user terminal upon detecting access of the user terminal. Also, the controller may position an object in the created 3D space, render a video reproduced from a user's viewpoint as a two-dimensional (2D) video, generate server data by segmenting the rendered 2D video, and transmit the generated server data to the user terminal.
Distributed Content Uploading and Validation
In accordance with one or more embodiments, aspects of the disclosure provide efficient, effective, and convenient ways of uploading and authenticating content. In particular, a user device may receive validating information from a wireless networking device. The user or client device may record a content item, and may insert a validation tag based on the validating information. The user or client device may then send the content item to the wireless networking device. The wireless networking device may receive the content item at a first location and may determine the validity of the content item based on the validating information. The user device may continually interact with wireless networking devices as it travels to continually upload content items while establishing the validity of the time and location of the content items.

Automatically serving different versions of content responsive to client device rendering errors
In some embodiments, a system is provided, and computer-executable instructions cause the system to: obtain, at an edge server of a content delivery network, a request for a content item from a client device; determine that the there are multiple versions of the first content item that require varying amount of resources to serve including a first version, and a second version requiring more resources to serve than the first version; select the second version; send the second version; determine that the client device is not properly rendering the second version of the content item; and in response to determining that that the client device is not properly rendering the second version, send the first version.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING IMAGE CONTENT USING EDGE COMPUTING SERVICE
An example method, performed by an edge data network, of transmitting image content, includes obtaining azimuth information and focal position information from an electronic device connected to the edge data network, and generating a filtered first partial image by performing filtering on a first partial image corresponding to the azimuth information by using one filter determined based on the focal position information.
Providing over-the-air content to any device
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for providing over-the-air (OTA) content to electronic devices. Some embodiments operate by automatically providing program listings of OTA content to the electronic devices, wherein the program listings are displayed in user interfaces of the electronic devices; receiving a user selection of particular OTA content from one of the electronic devices; receiving electronic signals containing OTA content from an antenna; processing, using a tuner, the received electronic signals to extract the particular OTA content therefrom; and transmitting the extracted OTA content to the electronic device for playback. In some embodiments, the extracted OTA content is stored in storage of said the electronic device for future on-demand playback to the user.
Systems and methods for signaling host devices via a broadcast channel with grouping filters
Embodiments include a system, method, and a computer program product for broadcasting a universal message to a plurality subscriber devices. Embodiments include generating a universal message comprising information identifying one or more target subscriber devices from among the plurality of subscriber devices to execute an update or an event, broadcasting the universal message to each subscriber device of the plurality of subscriber devices, receiving a request, from the one or more target subscriber devices, to transmit a payload when the universal message comprises instructions to execute the update, and transmitting the payload to the one or more target subscriber devices.
Method and system for real-time transcoding of MPEG-DASH on-demand media segments while in transit from content host to dash client
A system, method and computer program product for real-time post-processing system that transforms MPEG-DASH on-demand media streams, including a DASH media player device; an intercepting media server device; a MPEG-DASH content origin server device; and a proxy media client device coupled to the DASH media player device and the intercepting media server device and configured to intercept MPEG-DASH HTTP requests from the DASH media player device and forward the intercepted requests to the intercepting media server device instead of the MPEG-DASH content origin server device. The intercepting media server device is configured to act as an HTTP proxy device, and forward the intercepted requests to the MPEG-DASH content origin server, and with each corresponding MPEG-DASH media subsegment acquired perform analysis of the video media content within the subsegment and apply selective transcoding.
