SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING OPTIMIZED TIME SCALES AND ACCURATE PRESENTATION TIME STAMPS
The disclosed computer-implemented method includes determining, for multiple different media items, a current time scale at which the media items are encoded for distribution, where at least two of the media items are encoded at different frame rates. The method then includes identifying, for the media items, a unified time scale that provides a constant frame interval for each of the media items. The method also includes changing at least one of the media items from the current time scale to the identified unified time scale to provide a constant frame interval for the changed media item(s). Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
Remotely accessed virtual recording room
An audio/video stream recording, storage, and delivery system 10 utilizes an Internet-based browser connection. The system 10 includes recording software 20, storage memory 30, a code generator 40, and a user interface 50. Preferably, the recording software 20 is located on the host back end 60 where it processes and records audio and video material that originates from the user front end 70 and is streamed to the host back end. The storage memory 30, which is also located on the host back end 60, stores the recorded audio and video material. The user interface 50 to the system provides a user located at the user front end 70 with remote access to a virtual recording room. The user interface 50 further enables the user to record audio and video material streamed from the user front end 70 by activating the recording software 20 located on the host back end 60. This is accomplished without requiring recording functionality on the user front end 70. The code generator 30 produces code associated with the recorded audio and video material. This code can be easily copied and pasted to an additional location 80, such as an auction website. Activating the code pasted at the additional location 80 provides access to the recorded audio and video material from the additional location while allowing the recorded audio and video material to remain stored at the host back end 60.

A distributed transcoding method includes splitting image content into segments of a fixed interval; allocating the split segments to a plurality of workers and performing parallel transcoding; and concatenating the transcoded segments and merging same into one encoded file.
SWIVEL SEARCH SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for performing an integrated search is provided. An interface is provided that allows users to search and select any data related to a searchable term. Searchable terms may comprise titles of content, actors, and tags. Upon receiving results from the initial search, the user progresses through the initial search by selecting a result from the initial search and conducting a further search of that selection. The search may progress through many layers of searching in order to find information useful to the user and the user may perform actions based upon results of the search. The search implements a display with two columns, the first column displaying selectable data, and the second column displaying results to the selected data. The search is further customizable based upon a privacy level selected by the user.

A content generating device according to an embodiment comprises: an acquiring portion (25) for requesting, from an accumulating portion that accumulates a plurality of video data, video data that satisfies a prescribed condition, to acquire a plurality of video data that satisfies the condition; a starting frame identifying portion (26) for identifying starting frames wherein prescribed actions start, in the video playback of the plurality of video data acquired by the acquiring portion (25); and a generating portion (27) for generating multi-video data by combining a plurality of video data with the timings of the identified starting frames synchronized.

Interaction output over a local computer-readable medium (CRM) generated based on user interaction with rendered content input representing a virtualized asset being is received at a virtualized asset local provisioning server. A manner to exploit the virtualized asset is determined from interaction output. The virtualized asset is exploited based on the determined manner to exploit the virtualized asset. A request for a portion of the virtualized asset generated in response to the exploiting the virtualized asset is intercepted. If it is determined that the portion of the virtualized asset is absent from the local storage, a request for the portion of the virtualized asset is sent to a virtualized asset delivery system over a non-local CRM; the portion of the virtualized asset retrieved by the virtualized asset delivery system is received over the non-local CRM; and the received portion of the virtualized asset is used in exploiting the virtualized asset.
