Method and device for adapting the video content decoded from elementary streams to the characteristics of a display
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for adapting a video content decoded from elementary streams to the characteristics of a display from at least one type of metadata giving information regarding said elementary streams. Such a method comprises:—obtaining (102) an additional information (HDR DESCR.) indicating the presence of one particular type of metadata;—determining if said video content decoded from elementary streams is display-able on said display (11) from said additional information (HDR DESCR.) and the characteristics of the display (EDID); and—if said video content decoded from elementary streams is determined as being displayable, selecting (105) a process from said additional information and the characteristics of the display and adapting (106) the video content according to the selected process.
MEDIA CLIP CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS
Various embodiments for creating media clips are disclosed. In one example, a method is performed by a server for managing the creation and distribution of media clips, where the server associates a content capture device with an event, the content capture device for recording at least a portion of the event, receives a tag notification from a content tagging device via a network interface, generates a media clip creation command to the content capture device via the network interface, sends the media clip creation command to the content capture device, and receives a media clip created by the content capture device in response to receiving the media clip creation command.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOMMENDING DYNAMIC, ADAPTIVE AND NON-SEQUENTIALLY ASSEMBLED VIDEOS
The present disclosure provides a system and method for recommending dynamic, adaptive and non-sequentially assembled videos. The method includes reception of a set of preference data and a set of user authentication data. The method includes development of an interest profile of the user. The method includes fetching of the one or more tagged videos. The method includes fragmentation of each tagged video into the one or more tagged fragments and segregation of one or more mapped fragments into one or more logical sets of mapped fragments. The method includes mining of semantic context information from each mapped fragment and each logical set of mapped fragments. The method includes clustering of the one or more logical sets of mapped fragments and assembling of the one or more logical clusters of mapped fragments to obtain a set of assembled videos. The method includes recommendation of the set of assembled videos.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTING A NETWORK RESOURCE AS A SOURCE OF CONTENT FOR A RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM
There are disclosed a method of and a system for selecting a network resource as a source of a content item, the content item to be analyzed by a recommendation system as part of a plurality of content items to generate a set of recommended content items as a recommendation for a given user of the recommendation system. The method comprises, for a network resource, receiving, by the server, a plurality of features associated with a network resource to be processed; generating given network resource profile for the network resource, the given network resource profile being based on the plurality of features; executing a machine learning algorithm in order to determine a source suitability parameter for the network resource, selecting at least one content item from the network resource if the source suitability parameter is determined to be above a pre-determined threshold.
Time-based content synchronization
In some implementations, a system is capable of dynamically associating content streams to improve a user's viewing experience while accessing primary content. To accomplish this, the CMS uses content association data assigning secondary content items to the primary content. Secondary content items can be assigned to designated frames of the primary content so that the secondary content items are presented to user at specified time points during the playback of the primary content. Secondary content items can represent content that is related to the subject matter of the primary content, or content that a user may be interested in accessing while viewing the primary content.

In-manifest update event
There is included a method and apparatus comprising computer code configured to cause a processor or processors to perform publishing media presentation description data comprising main live program data, and signaling a client device about ad data and in-manifest data where the ad data instructs the client device of an initial end time at which to end a display of an ad by switching a display at the client device from the ad to the main live program data and where the in-manifest data instructs the client device to determine, during a streaming of the ad to the client device, an updated end time, prior to the end time, at which to end the streaming of the ad by switching the streaming at the client device from the ad to the main live program data.

APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING BROADCAST SIGNAL, APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING BROADCAST SIGNAL, METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING BROADCAST SIGNAL AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING BROADCAST SIGNAL
A method and device for transmitting or receiving a broadcast signal are discussed. The method for transmitting the broadcast signal can include processing one or more Internet Protocol (IP) packets into link layer packets, processing the link layer packets to output the broadcast signal, and transmitting the broadcast signal. The one or more IP packets can carry components of a service and service signaling information for signaling the components of the service. The broadcast signal can further include a service list table. The service list table can include one or more of service identification information for identifying the service, capabilities information related to the service, channel number information of the service, category information for indicating a type of the service, protocol information for representing a type of a protocol used to deliver the service signaling information.
