An arrangement includes an output shaft, a cutting head, at least one cutting tool arranged on the cutting head, and a hood. The cutting head is mounted on the output shaft by a screw element held in a rotationally fixed manner on the cutting head. The hood is held on the output shaft in a rotationally fixed manner, and has ribs in the inner region, and a first grip region in the outer region.

An assembly includes a mowing head (3), an output shaft (8), and a fastening device (10). The output shaft (8) is drivable in rotation about an axis of rotation (9). The assembly (2) has an anti-rotation lock (11) and an axial lock (16). The mowing head (3) is held corotatingly on the output shaft (8) by the anti-rotation lock (11). The axial lock (16) locks the mowing head (3) in a blocking position (30) of the output shaft (8) against a relative movement in the direction of the axis of rotation (9) of the output shaft (8) and in an inoperative position (31) releases the mowing head (3) for detachment from the output shaft (8). The fastening device (10) includes an actuating element (24) accessible to the operator. The axial lock (16) is switchable into the blocking position (30) and into the inoperative position (31) by the actuating element (24).

A trimmer line cutting head has a trimmer line spool rotatably supported about an axis of rotation and disposed slidably between housing and housing cover along the axis of rotation. A spring element pretensions the trimmer line spool in an operating position of the trimmer line cutting head. An indexing device has a terminal stop connecting the trimmer line spool in the operating position to the housing in fixed connection for common rotation of trimmer line spool and housing. By applying an actuating force to the indexing device, the trimmer line spool is adjustable from the operating position axially into an inoperative state of the trimmer line cutting head for paying out trimmer line. The indexing device has a rotational stop formed in a slot in a wall of the trimmer line spool and limiting rotation of the trimmer line spool relative to the housing in the inoperative state.

A trimmer head includes a spool configured to rotate about a rotation axis. The spool is provided with a plurality of first transmission teeth. A head housing accommodates at least a part of the spool. The head housing is provided with a plurality of second transmission teeth for engaging with the plurality of first transmission teeth. When the trimmer head rotates about the rotation axis and along a predetermined direction, the plurality of first transmission teeth engage with the plurality of second transmission teeth to transmit force between the head housing and the spool. The force acts on a point of action of the head housing or the spool to drive the head housing and the spool to rotate synchronously along the predetermined direction.

A grass trimmer includes a trimming head, a driving device for driving the trimming head to rotate so as to cut vegetation and an operating device for a user to operate so as to control the driving device. The trimming head includes a spool and a line holding element, the spool is used to wind a trimming line, and the line holding element is formed with a line holding structure. The driving device includes a motor. The grass trimmer has an auto-winding mode. In the auto-winding mode, the motor drives at least one of the spool and the line holding element to make the spool and the line holding element rotate relatively so that the trimming line is wound on the spool automatically.

A trimmer can be converted from an existing cutting medium to an alternative tool without requiring removal of the trimmer head. A common upper receiver head, as sold by an original equipment trimmer manufacturer, incorporates design provisions to snugly allow an easy/comfortable fit for a series of uniquely adaptable and convertible cap attachments such as, monofilament systems, unique molded or shaped flexible line blades with optional cutting swath diameters, as well as other helpful devices that perform different functions beyond just cutting grass.

A string motor/cutter mechanism has a hollow shaft motor having an internal shaft extending therethrough, open at at least one end, and the shaft being aligned with a motor rotation axis; a string cutting mechanism axially aligned to the motor axis and connected to the motor in a rotational connection enables the motor to rotate the string cutting mechanism at a cutting rotational speed. A rotary support mechanism has a mounting shaft for rotatably connecting a single axis, axially rotating, rolling mechanism in supporting engagement to the motor, the mounting shaft extending within and aligned with the axis of the hollow shaft of the motor. The rotary mechanism mounting shaft is connected in an operationally fixed position along the hollow motor shaft to support the cutting mechanism a selected distance, measured along the mounting shaft axis, from a ground surface on which the rolling mechanism travels.

One apparatus includes a processor and a radio transceiver that receives a set of reference signals transmitted from transmission point. The processor selects a subset of beams from a plurality of orthogonal beams based on the received set of reference signals and computes sets of amplitude and phase parameters for one or more channel compression matrices. In some embodiments, each channel compression matrix corresponds to one transmission layer of a multiple-layer transmission and each channel compression matrix is comprised of one or more column vectors. The processor controls the radio transceiver to send indications of the sets of amplitude and phase parameters.

A grass trimmer includes a trimming head, a driving device for driving the trimming head to rotate so as to cut vegetation, and an operating device for use in controlling the driving device. The trimming head includes a spool and a line holding element formed with a line holding structure. The driving device includes a motor. The grass trimmer has an auto-winding mode. In the auto-winding mode, the motor drives at least one of the spool and the line holding element to make the spool and the line holding element rotate relatively so that a trimming line is wound on the spool automatically.

The present invention is a string trimmer attachment apparatus and method for easy attachment to a lawn mower deck, without requiring the use of tools for attachment, by having an adjustable trimmer mounting platform which securely attaches to the lawn mower. A string-type powered trimmer motor on the bottom side of the adjustable trimmer mounting platform cuts the grass. An operating control located on the lawn mower controls the string-type powered trimmer motor. A pair of L brackets allow the adjustable trimmer mounting platform to firmly attach to the lawn mower without the need for a separate trimmer/edger appliance. No tools or lawn mower modifications are required to attach the adjustable trimmer mounting platform to the mower deck.
