Example methods and systems for modifying the playback of content using pre-processed profile information are described. Example instructions, when executed, cause at least one processor to access a media stream that includes media and a profile of equalization parameters, the media stream provided to a device via a network, the profile of equalization parameters included in the media stream selected based on a comparison of a reference fingerprint to a query fingerprint generated based on the media, the profile of equalization parameters including an equalization parameter for the media; and modify playback of the media based on the equalization parameter specified in the accessed profile.

Systems and methods for delivering exercise content to a user of an exercise apparatus include a database storing exercise content, data associated with a content provider and data associated with an application provider, and a platform server operable to facilitate delivery of the exercise content to the exercise apparatus. The platform server delivers for display on the exercise apparatus archived exercise classes for selection by the user, receives from the exercise apparatus a selection, transmits data representing content of the selected archived exercise class, receives performance data from the exercise apparatus based on activity by the user, and generates archived performance data representing archived user performance parameters for a plurality of other users over at least the portion of the selected archived exercise class. Data is synchronized and updated for display by the exercise apparatus to simulate the user competing with at least some of the other users.

Systems and methods for delivering exercise content to a user of an exercise apparatus include a database storing exercise content, data associated with a content provider and data associated with an application provider, and a platform server operable to facilitate delivery of the exercise content to the exercise apparatus. In one aspect, a method includes identifying an upcoming content modification opportunity on a channel. The method also includes responsive to identifying the upcoming content modification opportunity on the channel, identifying a group of multiple content-presentation devices tuned to the channel. The method also includes for each content-presentation device in the identified group, determining a respective probability of that content-presentation device successfully performing a respective content-modification operation in connection with the identified upcoming content modification opportunity on the channel. The method also includes using at least the determined probabilities as a basis to select, from among the content-presentation devices in the identified group, a subgroup of content-presentation devices. The method also includes performing actions that facilitate causing each of at least some of the content-presentation devices in the selected subgroup to perform a respective content-modification operation in connection with the identified upcoming content modification opportunity on the channel.

In one aspect, a method includes identifying an upcoming content modification opportunity on a channel. The method also includes responsive to identifying the upcoming content modification opportunity on the channel, identifying a group of multiple content-presentation devices tuned to the channel. The method also includes for each content-presentation device in the identified group, determining a respective probability of that content-presentation device successfully performing a respective content-modification operation in connection with the identified upcoming content modification opportunity on the channel. Techniques for reducing piracy of media content are described. In some embodiments, a collusion resistant method is performed at a device, where the device receives a first request for a base copy of a media content item. In response, the device determines a first transformation based on a statistical performance criterion and a viewing performance criterion. The device further generates a first copy of the media content item by replicating and applying a first transformation to the base copy, where the first copy of the media content item satisfies the viewing performance criterion, and the first copy of the media content item is statistically different from the base copy or other copies in accordance with the statistical performance criterion. The device then causes transmission of the first copy of the media content item in combination with a first watermark for the base copy of the media content item.

This application provides a multicast service transmission method and apparatus, to deliver a multicast service regardless of whether there is a device supporting multicast in a system, so as to improve flexibility and reliability of the multicast service transmission. The method performed by a session management network element includes: receiving a first message or a second message, where the first message requests to add a terminal device to a multicast service, the second message is used to update a PDU session of the terminal device, and the PDU session is associated with the multicast service; and determining, based on multicast capability information of the terminal device and/or multicast capability information of an access network device, a delivery mode of the multicast service, where the access network device is an access network device currently accessed by the terminal device or a target access network device of the terminal device.

This application provides a multicast service transmission method and apparatus, to deliver a multicast service regardless of whether there is a device supporting multicast in a system, so as to improve flexibility and reliability of the multicast service transmission. The method performed by a session management network element includes: receiving a first message or a second message, where the first message requests to add a terminal device to a multicast service, the second message is used to update a PDU session of the terminal device, and the PDU session is associated with the multicast service; and determining, based on multicast capability information of the terminal device and/or multicast capability information of an access network device, a delivery mode of the multicast service, where the access network device is an access network device currently accessed by the terminal device or a target access network device of the terminal device.

It may be determined when at least one boost achievement condition is satisfied for temporarily boosting visibility of a video streaming channel within one or more interfaces of a video streaming service. The boosting of the visibility of the video streaming channel may be initiated based on satisfaction of the at least one boost achievement condition. It may be determined when at least one boost reward condition is satisfied. The boosting of the visibility of the video streaming channel may be terminated based on satisfaction of the at least one boost reward condition. The at least one boost achievement condition and the at least one boost reward condition may differ for different video streaming channels and may be determined based at least in part on viewership of the different video streaming channels.

It may be determined when at least one boost achievement condition is satisfied for temporarily boosting visibility of a video streaming channel within one or more interfaces of a video streaming service. The boosting of the visibility of the video streaming channel may be initiated based on satisfaction of the at least one boost achievement condition. It may be determined when at least one boost reward condition is satisfied. The boosting of the visibility of the video streaming channel may be terminated based on satisfaction of the at least one boost reward condition. The at least one boost achievement condition and the at least one boost reward condition may differ for different video streaming channels and may be determined based at least in part on viewership of the different video streaming channels.
