Providing video of space to calibrate user location relative to desired destination
A user can access live or historic video feeds of the location he is in and input a desired destination, and the video feeds show the surroundings and indicate a route to the destination, changing as the user moves toward the destination.
Display Device and Volume Control Method
A display apparatus includes a display; a remote controller; a controller. The controller is configured to receive a first command for fitness training, cause the display to present one or more modes including a follow-up mode and an exercising-while-watching mode for selection; in response to selection of the follow-up mode, cause the display to show a first window and a second window disposed on a first user interface for receiving a focus move command from the remote control, with the first window displaying a first video associated with fitness training and the second window displaying a second video associated with image data from a camera; receive a volume adjustment command; in response to the focus being on a volume control for the first or second video, adjust a volume of the first or second video in response to the volume adjustment command. A method for controlling the apparatus is disclosed.

OVERRIDING MULTIMEDIA DEVICE
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for switching the output of an overriding multimedia device from a first input to a second input or a combination of the first input and the second input. An example embodiment operates by receiving sensor data detected by a sensing device and relating to a multimedia switching event. The example embodiment further operates by determining that sensor data detected by a sensing device corresponds to a multimedia switching action. In response, the example embodiment operates by generating a multimedia switching actuation signal that instructs an overriding multimedia device to switch its output from the first multimedia signal to the second multimedia signal. Subsequently, the example embodiment operates by transmitting the multimedia switching actuation signal to the overriding multimedia device.

MANAGEMENT SERVER, USER TERMINAL, GIFT SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
A gift system comprising a control server for controlling a gift giving request submitted by a user in a live performance or live broadcast, and a user terminal that is held by the user. The control server comprises: a receiving portion for receiving a gift giving request that is transmitted in response to a user operation; an evaluating portion for evaluating whether not to accept the gift giving request based on a target during the performance; and a controlling portion for accepting the gift giving request in exchange for payment depending on the evaluation result by the evaluating portion. The user terminal 40 comprises a detecting portion for detecting a vibration, and a transmitting portion for transmitting a gift giving request when the detecting portion detects the vibration.
Systems and methods for automated object recognition
A method for recognizing an object in a video stream may include receiving a video stream from a video source, the video stream comprising a plurality of video frames. The method may also include selecting at least one video frame from the video frames according to a frame selection rate. The method may also include partitioning the selected video frame into a first plurality of image blocks. The method may also include recognizing, out of the first plurality of image blocks, a second plurality of image blocks which comprise an image of an object, the recognition being based on an image recognition parameter determined by a machine-learning algorithm. The method may also include determining that at least one of the second plurality of image blocks corresponds to the object based on a likelihood metric, the likelihood metric being determined by the processor based on at least the frame selection rate. The method may further include displaying, on a display, information identifying the object. A system and non-transitory computer-readable medium may also be provided.
Systems and methods for providing multi-part persistent content
The systems and methods discussed herein enable providing multi-part persistent content that may maintain a state across multiple presentations, including via different applications. In one such implementation, a first portion of a content item, such as a first level of a video game, may be provided to a client device, and the client device may interact with the game. An identification of a state of the game or completion of the first portion may be provided to a content server, which may store an association of the device or user with the execution state. At a subsequent time, a second portion of the content item, such as a second level of the game, may be provided to the client device, based on the stored association. This can prevent the repetitive transmission of the same content, thereby reducing use of computational and bandwidth resources.
Expiring synchronized supplemental content in time-shifted media
Systems and methods are described for providing interactive content contextually related to an occurrence. An illustrative method generates for display, at a media consumption device, a display of the live event, wherein the display of the live event comprises the occurrence, determines a beginning of the occurrence in the display of the live event, in response to determining the beginning of the occurrence in the display of the live event, generates for simultaneous display, with the display of the live event, interactive content related to the occurrence, determines whether the occurrence in the live event has ended in real time, and in response to determining that the occurrence in the live event has ended in real time, ceases the generating for display of the interactive content related to the occurrence.
