OMNI-DIRECTIONAL SPEAKER SYSTEM AND RELATED DEVICES AND METHODS
An omni-directional speaker system includes a deflector sub-assembly and a pair of acoustic sub-assemblies. The deflector sub-assembly includes a pair of diametrically opposed acoustic deflectors. Each of the acoustic sub-assemblies includes an acoustic driver for radiating acoustic energy toward an associated one of the acoustic deflectors. The acoustic sub-assemblies are coupled together via the deflector sub-assembly.
Magnetic distributed mode actuators and distributed mode loudspeakers having the same
A distributed mode actuator (DMA) includes a flat panel extending in a plane and a rigid, elongate member extended parallel to the plane. The member is mechanically coupled to a face of the flat panel at a point. An end of the member is free to vibrate in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The DMA also includes a magnet and an electrically-conducting coil. Either the magnet or the coil is mechanically coupled to the member. When the coil is energized, an interaction between a magnetic field of the magnet and a magnetic field from the coil applies a force sufficient to displace the member in the direction perpendicular to the plane. The DMA further includes an electronic control module electrically coupled to the coil and programmed to energize the coil to vibrate the member to produce an audio response from the flat panel.
Microphone and electronic device having the same
The present disclosure relates to microphones and electronic devices having the same. A microphone may include a housing for receiving vibration signals; a converting component inside the housing for converting the vibration signals into electrical signals, and a processing circuit for processing the electrical signals. The converting component may include a transducer and at least one damping film attached to the transducer.
LOUDSPEAKER ARRANGEMENT
A loudspeaker arrangement for a plurality of MEMS loudspeakers for generating sound waves in the audible wavelength spectrum includes a housing, which has a sound conduction cavity and at least one sound outlet opening, and at least two MEMS loudspeakers, arranged in the interior of the housing opposite and spaced apart from each other by the sound conduction cavity. Each MEMS loudspeaker has a cavity in the region of their opposite faces. The loudspeaker arrangement includes a shielding wall for acoustically decoupling the two MEMS loudspeakers from each other. The shielding wall is arranged in the interior of the housing between the two MEMS loudspeakers such that the sound conduction cavity is subdivided into a first and a second a cavity region respectively associated with one of the two MEMS loudspeakers
LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM WITH DIRECTIONAL OUTPUT CHARACTER
A loudspeaker system (50) has a front loudspeaker enclosure (10) having at least one front loudspeaker (20) and a rear loudspeaker enclosure (30) having at least one second loudspeaker (40). The front loudspeaker enclosure (10) is in the form of a horn-loaded enclosure. The rear loudspeaker enclosure (30) is in the form of a vented high-pass enclosure.
SLEEP APNEA TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
A sleep apnea treatment apparatus including a stimulation device that applies a stimulation to a subject, and a controller including circuitry which receives sounds produced by the subject, converts the sounds to received sound signals, obtains snoring sound information from the received sound signals, calculates an impact of snoring sound produced by the subject based on the snoring sound information, and causes the stimulation device to apply the stimulation to the subject when the impact is higher than a threshold.
SIGNAL CONVERTER
A signal converter includes a chamber, a first diaphragm, a second diaphragm, and a first converter. The chamber has a first opening at one end and a second opening at a second end opposite the first end. The first diaphragm is disposed so as to cover the first opening. The second diaphragm is disposed so as to cover the second opening. The first converter is disposed in the chamber and configured to generate a first signal based on a vibration of the first diaphragm.
SPEAKER MODULES HAVING DIFFERENT MODULE HOUSING GEOMETRIES AND SIMILAR ACOUSTIC PROPERTIES
An array of speaker modules includes a first speaker module having at least one electroacoustic driver and a housing that together define a first acoustic cavity having a first cavity volume. The array also includes a second speaker module having at least one electroacoustic driver and a housing that together define a first enclosed volume that is greater than the first cavity volume by a first volume difference. The second speaker module includes a first internal enclosure having a first internal volume that is substantially equal to the first volume difference. The portion of the first enclosed volume that is outside the first internal volume defines a second acoustic cavity having a second cavity volume that is substantially equal to the first cavity volume. This configuration enables the performance of low frequency acoustic drivers in the speaker modules to be substantially matched without requiring complicated alternative approaches for matched performance.
MICROMECHANICAL SOUND TRANSDUCER
Micromechanical sound transducer including a plurality of unilaterally suspended bending transducers. The plurality of bending transducers are configured for deflection within a plane of vibration and are arranged side by side within the plane of vibration along a first axis and are extending along a second axis which is transverse to the first axis. The bending transducers are alternately suspended on opposite sides and engage with one another. Each bending transducer includes a first electrode and a second electrode which are located opposite one another along the first axis to cause deflections of the respective bending transducer along the first axis upon application of voltage. Mutually facing electrodes of adjacent bending transducers are electrically connected to one another by a transverse connection crossing the plane of vibration transverse to the first axis.
SPEAKER ADAPTER, AND DUAL CORE SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides a speaker adapter, and a dual core speaker assembly. The speaker adapter includes: a main body, symmetrically provided with two mounting portions at both sides for matching with speakers respectively; a bottom base, extending from and around the main body, for supporting the main body; and an inner cavity formed within the main body.
