ACOUSTIC OUTPUT DEVICE
The present disclosure provides an acoustic output device. The acoustic output device may comprise a bone conduction speaker configured to generate bone conduction acoustic waves. The acoustic output device may also comprise an air conduction speaker configured to generate air conduction acoustic waves, the air conduction speaker being independent of the bone conduction speaker. The acoustic output device may further comprise at least one housing configured to accommodate the bone conduction speaker and the air conduction speaker.
Omnidirectional Sound Source
An omnidirectional sound source is formed by mounting a loudspeaker in an enclosed baffle, preferably formed as a low profile hemi-spherical, convex cap with a small circular orifice at its apex and a planar base. The loudspeaker is mounted within the baffle, affixed to the underside of the baffle cap directly beneath the orifice. Substantially plane audio-frequency wavefronts emanating from the immediate vicinity of the loudspeaker diaphragm pass through the orifice and, by the process of diffraction emerge as spherical waves. The spherical wavefronts follow the smooth, axisymmetric, gently curved contour of the low-profile, hemispherical baffle and are not distorted by edge effects where the baffle joins its planar base. As a result, an omnidirectional sound source is obtained.
PANEL COMBINATION, PHONE BOOTH, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING OUTPUT OF DIRECTIONAL SPEAKER
A panel combination includes a panel, a directional speaker mounted to the panel, and a controller that receives a trigger signal and controls an output of the directional speaker according to the trigger signal.
Speaker systems with polyplanar, nested, folded horns
A speaker system including an enclosure, a first acoustic driver engaged with the enclosure, and two or more horns configured to output a sound from the first acoustic driver to a front plane of the enclosure. In one embodiment, the two or more horns may be folded and planar. In one embodiment, the speaker system may include a second acoustic driver, which may be installed above or below the first acoustic driver. The second acoustic driver may be larger or smaller or the same size when compared to the first acoustic driver.
Portable speaker system
A portable audio input/output device may include one or more openings that extend through a cover of the device and allow acoustic signals outside a housing of the device to reach a microphone disposed within the housing. The opening(s) may be illuminated by a light guide disposed within the housing, which scatters light emitted from lights disposed within the housing. In some instances, a hole may pass through a printed circuit board to allow acoustic signals to be received by the microphone disposed below the printed circuit board. An input/output (I/O) interface module with multiple buttons and inputs may be installed in the hole. The multiple buttons and I/O ports of the I/O interface module may be aligned along an axis vertical relative to the housing and centered with respect to each other.
Multipurpose speaker enclosure in a display assistant device
This application is directed to a speaker assembly in which a speaker is mounted in an enclosure structure. The enclosure structure exposes a speaker opening of the speaker and provides a sealed enclosure for a rear portion of the speaker, and further includes an electrically conductive portion. One or more electronic components are coupled to the electrically conductive portion of the enclosure structure (which is grounded in some implementations). The electrically conductive portion of the enclosure structure is configured to provide electromagnetic shielding for the electronic components and forms part of the sealed enclosure of the speaker. In some implementations, the electrically conductive portion of the enclosure structure is thermally coupled to the electronic components and acts as a heat sink that is configured to absorb heat generated by the electronic components and dissipate the generated heat away from the electronic components.

Interior component of a vehicle
An interior component of a vehicle comprises a carrier having a front face directed toward a passenger compartment of the vehicle and an opposite rear face; a speaker including an at least partially transparent diaphragm and a transducer coupled to the diaphragm. Movement of the transducer causes vibration of the diaphragm to generate sound by vibration of the diaphragm, the diaphragm having a front face directed towards the passenger compartment and an opposite rear face. The carrier provides a support along at least part of the periphery of the diaphragm where the diaphragm is attached to the carrier where the front face and the rear face of the diaphragm are free of the carrier across a part of the diaphragm surface so that the diaphragm is suspended in the carrier of the interior component.
Passive Cardioid Speaker
A passive cardioid acoustical system, or loudspeaker, is described which is driven with a single electrical signal and provides a useful reduction of low-frequency sound intensity in the rearward direction while producing relatively high low-frequency sound intensity in the forward direction. This is accomplished by an acoustical circuit which modifies the magnitude and phase of sound radiated by the interior side of a vibrating diaphragm or diaphragms, and combines it with the sound radiated by the exterior side of the diaphragm or diaphragms, so as to cancel part of the rearward radiation and reinforce the forward radiation. The passive cardioid loudspeaker described employs an improved acoustical circuit which allows improved efficiency, as well as greater flexibility with regard to the size, maximum output, and effective frequency range of the loudspeaker, as compared to prior art.
BAFFLE FOR LINE ARRAY LOUDSPEAKER
A loudspeaker baffle that provides variable sound patterns is described. The baffle may support non-low frequency sound sources and a waveguide to provide varying sound beam patterns. The baffle may include a center mount adapted to receive a plurality of audio outputs and a plurality of low frequency apertures to receive a plurality low frequency output. The waveguide may be formed from a front face of the baffle. The front face may be intermediate the center mount and the low frequency apertures. The front face may include a continuously varying waveguide surface with a first waveguide portion adjacent a first audio output of the plurality of audio outputs providing a first sound pattern and a second waveguide portion adjacent a second audio output of the plurality of audio outputs providing a second sound pattern that is different than the first sound pattern.
