Earpiece
The present disclosure relates to an earpiece for an ear. The ear comprises a concha cavity at least partially delimited by a concha floor, a concha side wall and a concha ceiling. The earpiece comprises a peripheral skirt comprising a positioning skirt portion which in turn comprises an outer skirt surface and an inner skirt surface, wherein a transition from the outer skirt surface to the inner skirt surface occurs at a skirt edge. The skirt edge extends at least partially circumferentially around a central axis of the earpiece, wherein the earpiece is adapted to be moved to a use position, at least partially within the concha cavity, in a direction parallel to the central axis, during insertion of the earpiece into the ear. When the peripheral skirt is in a non-influenced condition, at least a portion of the inner skirt surface faces the central axis.
Ear Piece for a Hearing Device
An ear piece for a hearing device includes one of two, three four or more shapes, wherein the ear piece comprises a tube having a first bend separating two essentially straight sections of the tube which smoothly merge into one another at the first bend, wherein each section has a respective centerline, wherein the centerlines enclose an angle between them, wherein the angle is in a range of 41° to 58°, wherein the centerlines meet at an intersection point lying within an bend plane having a plane area confined by the tube, and wherein the bend plane bisects the angle with a tolerance range of 5% and/or is rotated within the tube about the intersection point so as to minimize the plane area.
Ear-plug device with in-ear cartilage conduction transducer
An ear-plug device is an in-ear device that presents audio content to an ear canal of a user. The in-ear device includes a body configured to at least partially fit inside the ear canal of the user, and a transducer assembly coupled to the body. The transducer assembly comprises at least one transducer located within the ear canal. The at least one transducer is configured to vibrate a portion of the ear canal to cause the ear canal to create an airborne acoustic pressure wave in the ear canal in accordance with vibration instructions. The airborne acoustic pressure wave corresponds to and is for presentation of the audio content to the user.
DOME FOR HEARING AIDS
The present disclosure relates to dome-type inserts, or simply domes, for a hearing aid. The dome is intended to be attached to a housing, such as an in-the-ear housing, and abut the ear canal. The dome-type insert comprises one or more vent channels for alleviating air pressure built-up and/or occlusion.
Eartips And Earphone Devices, And Systems And Methods Therefore
The application discloses an eartip, an earphone device, an earphone housing and a hearbud housing device. The eartip can include an outer portion, an inner portion, and an encapsulated volume formed by the inner and outer portion, wherein the outer portion is designed to contact the ear canal, and wherein the inner portion is designed to fit upon a stent. In an alternative embodiment, the airtip can include an inverted body, wherein when the inverted body is at least partially folded on itself the inverted body is arranged to include a bulbous region sized for insertion in an ear canal, a cavity internal to the bulbous region that holds a gas, where increasing pressure on the bulbous region releases a portion of the gas.
PROFILED EAR PIECE AND DEVICE FOR THE GENERATION OF AN EAR PIECE
The invention is related to a casting form (1) for the generation of an ear piece (100or a part of an ear piece (100), wherein the ear piece (100) comprises a contact section (120) and a non-contact section (110). The casting form (1) comprises an inner surface (10) delimiting an inner volume (12) for receiving a casting material, wherein the inner volume (12) is at least a part of the contact section (120). The inner surface (10) comprises at least one profiled section (20) comprising at least one texturing element (30). The invention is further related to a method for generating a casting form (1). The invention further comprises an ear piece (100).
CONTACT HEARING SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHODS
The present invention is directed to a hearing aid which includes a lateral ear canal assembly and a medial ear canal assembly. In embodiments of the invention the medial ear canal assembly may include smart circuitry adapted to control parameters and outputs of the medial ear canal assembly. In embodiments of the invention various methods and circuitry are described, wherein the methods and circuitry are adapted to improve the performance and efficiency of the hearing aid.
Eartips and earphone devices, and systems and methods therefor
The application is directed to an eartip. The eartip can include an outer portion, an inner portion, and an encapsulated volume formed by the inner and outer portion, wherein the outer portion is designed to contact the ear canal, and wherein the inner portion is designed to fit upon a stent.
Earplugs, earphones, and eartips
At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to an earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug configured to inserted in an ear canal of the ear. The earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug is configured to occlude or partially occlude the ear canal of the ear. The earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug includes a chamber to occlude or partially occlude the ear canal that is sealed when inserted in the ear canal and open to the external environment when outside the ear.
Hearing aid for placement in a user's ear canal
A hearing aid for placement in an ear canal of a user, includes: a shell; a faceplate comprising an upper face, and a lower face, and a circumference, the upper face being exposed when the shell is placed in an ear of the user; a coil arranged at the faceplate; and a button arrangement comprising a plunger configured to control an integrated circuit arranged below the coil, the coil comprising one or more windings, the one or more windings being circumferential of an inner cavity of the coil with respect to a center or longitudinal axis of the coil, the button arrangement being configured such that the plunger in at least one position extends through the inner cavity of the coil for engaging the integrated circuit.
