Movable barrier operator registration verification
Systems, methods, and apparatus for managing and controlling network-enabled movable barrier operators is provided. A method for managing network-enabled movable barrier operator includes receiving a user account identifier and a movable barrier operator identifier from a user device, providing an instruction to perform a specified action with a movable barrier operator associated with the movable barrier operator identifier to the user device, determining a registration condition is met upon detecting that the specified action has been performed, and, in the event that the registration condition is met, associating the movable barrier operator identifier with the user account identifier to allow a user account associated with the user account identifier to control the movable barrier operator over a network.
Activation of an application session based on authentication of a user device and a characteristic of the user device
In some implementations, a system may receive, from a user device, a user-side request associated with establishing an application session, wherein the user-side request includes an optical code. The system may receive, from an agent device, an agent-side request associated with the agent device joining the application session, wherein the agent-side request includes authentication information that indicates that the agent device scanned the optical code from an output component of the user device. The system may send, to the user device, a notification to permit the user device to join the application session. The system may activate the application session to permit the user device and the agent device to communicate via the application session.
Access controller for secure transactions
A method for performing secure transactions is disclosed. The method includes: providing an access controller between a core application and a third-party application, where the access controller prevents the third-party application from unauthorized access to the core application; receiving, by the access controller, a command from the third-party application to access the core application; transmitting, by the access controller, an authorization request to a secure application storing credentials of a user; providing, by the access controller, the third-party application with access to the core application in response to the access controller receiving notification from the secure application that the command is authorized; and preventing, by the access controller, the third-party application from accessing the core application in response to the access controller receiving notification from the secure application that the command is unauthorized.
FRAUD DETECTION SYSTEM, FRAUD DETECTION DEVICE, FRAUD DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A fraud detection system for executing predetermined processing when a detection target is detected by using a detection device, the fraud detection system comprising at least one processor which determines, before the detection target is detected, whether a predetermined action has been performed by a user having a user terminal; executes, when it is determined that the predetermined action has been performed, fraud detection on the user based on identification information stored in the user terminal; and executes, when the detection target is detected, the predetermined processing based on an execution result of the fraud detection.
Display apparatus and display method
An image display system includes a first terminal device and with a second terminal device whose usable function range is smaller than a usable function range of the first terminal device. The image display system includes a display projection unit, a communication unit that establishes wireless connection with the first and second terminal devices, a control unit that manages the wireless connection, and a connection control image generating unit. The control unit and the connection control image generating unit generate a terminal connection image including information for connecting the second terminal device with the image display system, based on terminal connection permission information that assigns the second terminal device whose wireless connection with the display system is permitted, the terminal connection permission information being transmitted from the first terminal device. The display projection unit displays the terminal connection image.

Thincloud mesh access point (AP) and internet of things (IoT) device onboarding
A computing device determines an onboarding algorithm to use for onboarding a wireless device. The computing device determines, based on the onboarding algorithm, a first set of predefined information and a second set of dynamically generated information to use as inputs to the onboarding algorithm. The computing device generates, via the onboarding algorithm, a set of credentials based on the first set of predefined information and the second set of dynamically generated information, and uses the set of credentials to secure a connection for onboarding the wireless device.

WIRELESS SERVICE TECHNOLOGY FOR PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES
A patient support apparatus and a portable service tool are adapted to communicate with each other in order to allow a user of the service tool to wirelessly update software executed by the patient support apparatus. In some embodiments, the patient support apparatus displays a coded message that encodes network credentials (e.g. SSID, password, etc.) and the software tool is adapted to capture an image of the coded message, decode the message, and then set up a wireless network having the decoded network credentials. The patient support apparatus then automatically joins the network and receives one or more wireless software updates. The service tool may alternatively or additionally connect to a healthcare facility network and upload software to a server thereon, which then downloads the software to the patient support apparatus over the healthcare facility computer network.
Communication apparatus that provides a communication parameter and method of controlling the same
In order to enable a reduction in complexity in setting a communication parameter, a communication apparatus operable to provide a communication parameter to an external apparatus, generates a first image that is used in a first setting scheme for providing a communication parameter and in which information including a communication parameter is encoded; and generates a second image that is used in a second setting scheme for providing a communication parameter and in which information that does not include the communication parameter and that does include authentication information for performing an authentication is encoded. Then, the apparatus accepts information used to determine which of the first setting scheme and the second setting scheme to use; and, displays, based on the information, either the first image or the second image.
