Movement of user equipments between cells
A procedure is disclosed where a user equipment (UE) 10 can share information (with e.g. radio access network (RAN) nodes 20, 30) about its cell mobility attempts (e.g. redirection successes/failures). This information can subsequently be utilized by the various RAN nodes 20, 30 when making subsequent, i.e. future, cell mobility decisions. Hereby it is made possible to improve cell mobility decisions, such as redirection or handover, by the various RAN nodes 20, 30.
Optimized Detection of Unnecessary Inter-RAT Handover
According to an aspect, a network node operating in a first RAN according to a first RAT is the target of an inter-RAT (IRAT) handover. The network node receives a handover request for a user equipment from a cell in a second RAN operating according to a second RAT. After handover of the user equipment to a cell in the first RAN is completed, the network node configures the user equipment to measure one or more frequencies corresponding to the second RAN. Based on measurements reported by the user equipment for the one or more frequencies, the network node identifies one or more detected cells exceeding a measurement threshold, and sends a handover report towards the second RAN. The handover report includes, for at least one detected cell exceeding the measurement threshold, a physical cell identifier for the detected cell and a frequency identifier for the detected cell.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DEVICE-TO-DEVICE COMMUNICATION
A device-to-device user equipment (D2D-UE) and a method for use by a device-to-device user equipment (D2D-UE) is provided. The method comprises: determining, according to a non-UE specific resource allocation configuration, a plurality of available channels within a resource pool; selecting a primary channel of the plurality of available channels for the transmission of data; determining one or more transmission (TX) opportunities and one or more reception (RX) opportunities associated with the selected primary channel, wherein the transmit opportunities comprise a transmit subframe and an associated transmit resource block which are allocated for data transmission, and the reception opportunities comprise a transmit subframe which is not allocated for data transmission; transmitting a scheduling assignment (SA) on a TX opportunity of the TX opportunities; and receiving, an SA of another D2D-UE on an RX opportunity of the RX opportunities.
Method and terminal for processing data transmission service
A method for processing data transmission services and a terminal are disclosed. The method includes: after a radio link disconnection occurs in a process of only performing the data transmission services of a packet-switched domain in a dedicated state, if judging that a timing value configured with a first timer is 0, a terminal deleting a radio access bearer and a signaling connection of the packet-switched domain; and if judging that a timing value configured with a second timer is not 0, initiating a cell update process, wherein, the first timer is a timer used for monitoring reestablishment of packet-switched domain services; the second timer is a timer used for monitoring reestablishment of circuit-switched domain services. According to the above scheme, the flow of processing a stream interruption of the terminal in a data transmission process can be perfected, and the drawbacks of the existing flow can be solved.
Method for supporting indication of a failure event to a source access system
A method for supporting indication of a failure event to a source access system is provided. The method includes notifying, by the source access system, information of a source cell to a target access system, routing, by the target access system, a message to the base station or the base station controller of the source access through a core network by use of the information of the source cell received from the source access system when the target access system needs to transmit a message to the source access system. By use of the method provided by the present disclosure, a problem of mobility robustness optimization (MRO) among different radio access technology (RAT) may be notified to the source access system, so as to avoid impact for a terminal, reduce operator configuration.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFIER SIGNALING
A method and apparatus can be configured to attach to a first network. The first network may use a first radio-access technology. The method may also comprise connecting to a second network. The second network may use a second radio-access technology. The method may also comprise transmitting an identifier to the second network. The identifier may relate to a first network node of the first network to which the apparatus may be attached.
NETWORK SELECTION CONTROL METHOD, BASE STATION, AND USER TERMINAL
A network selection control method is a method for selecting, from a E-UTRAN and a WLAN, an access network in which a traffic of a UE 100 is transmitted and received. The network selection control method comprises the steps of: transmitting, by a cell #1 in the E-UTRAN, offload control information to a UE 100-1 that exists in the cell #1, the offload control information being for requesting switching of an access network in which the traffic of the UE 100-1 is transmitted and received, to the WLAN; and transmitting, by a cell #2 neighboring the cell #1 in the E-UTRAN, to a UE 100-2 that exists in the cell #2, neighboring cell offload information indicating that the offload control information is transmitted in the cell #1.
METHOD AND USER EQUIPMENT FOR RECOVERING SERVICE IN UNIVERSAL MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (UMTS) NETWORK
A method and user equipment (UE) for recovering a service in a wireless network is provided. The method includes detecting, in a UE, that a fast cell update criteria is met, and recovering, in the UE, the service in the wireless network by performing a cell update procedure.
Communication Method And Apparatus
Embodiments of this application disclose a communication method and apparatus, and the communication method and apparatus are applicable to a system for interworking between a first network and a second network. In one example, a first access management network element in the first network sends indication information to a session management network element in the first network, so that the session management network element feeds back context information corresponding to a bearer that a second access management network element in the second network supports.
Communications system
A user communications device having active and idle states operates in a cellular communications network in which user communications devices communicate via network communications devices of cells of the network. History data identifying the cells in which the user communications device has been present whilst in the idle state is maintained. This history data is used by the user communications device or by a network communications device to enable adjustment of cell selection/reselection parameters for the user communications device in the active state.
