WIRELESS NETWORK COVERAGE ENHANCEMENT METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a wireless network coverage enhancement method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, a downlink signal sent by a network device; determining, by the terminal, a first coverage level of the terminal according to the downlink signal; determining, by the terminal, an uplink communications parameter according to the first coverage level; and sending, by the terminal, an uplink signal to the network device according to the uplink communications parameter. According to the method in embodiments of the present invention, a probability of successfully receiving the uplink signal is improved. Therefore, the network device does not need to send a NACK to the terminal, so that overheads of an air interface between the terminal and the network device are reduced, a period in which the terminal performs coverage enhancement is shortened, and power consumption of the terminal is reduced.

A signal processing device, which processes a baseband signal for wireless communication, includes a plurality of temperature sensors arranged to sense internal temperatures of the signal processing device, respectively, a threshold storage storing a plurality of thresholds, and a controller that estimates a surface temperature based on the sensed internal temperatures and performs a thermal mitigation operation based on the surface temperature and a plurality of temperature ranges defined by the plurality of thresholds.
Method and device for accessing channel in wireless LAN system
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for performing a channel access by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: transmitting a first frame for a channel access request to an access point (AP); and receiving a second frame, which is a response to the channel access request, from the AP, wherein the first frame includes information indicating whether or not uplink data of the STA is present.
Wireless communication system and network attached storage device thereof
A network attached storage (NAS) device includes a control unit, a wireless communication unit, a switch unit, a voltage conversion circuit, a battery unit, and a storage unit. When the wireless communication unit receives a request to access the storage unit, the wireless communication unit outputs a first control signal to activate the switch unit, the battery unit powers the voltage conversion circuit through the switch unit, and the voltage conversion circuit supplies power to the control unit and the storage unit. Until the wireless communication unit receives the request, the wireless communication unit outputs a second control signal to deactivate the switch unit, the battery unit cannot power the voltage conversion circuit through the switch unit, and the voltage conversion circuit does not supply power the control unit and the storage unit.
WIRELESS PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A patient monitoring system includes at least two wireless sensing devices, each configured to measure a different physiological parameter from a patient and wirelessly transmit a parameter dataset. The system further includes a receiver that receives each parameter dataset, a processor, and a monitoring regulation module executable on the processor to assign one of the at least two wireless sensing devices as a dominant wireless sensing device and at least one of the remaining wireless sensing devices as a subordinate wireless sensing device. The physiological parameter measured by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter and the parameter dataset transmitted by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter dataset. The key parameter dataset from the dominant wireless sensing device is processed to determine a stability indicator. The subordinate wireless sensing device is then operated based on the stability indicator for the key parameter.
Data reception and transmission method and apparatus for power saving in communication system using multiple carriers
The present invention relates to a multi-carrier resource utilization method and apparatus for power saving in a communication system using a multi-carrier, in which the activation of a secondary carrier for transmitting and receiving data traffic between a terminal and a base station is determined according to the QoS (Quality of Service) requirements such as a data traffic status between the terminal and the base station, a maximum sustained traffic rate, a maximum traffic burst size, or the like, and an indication message (Indication) indicating this is transferred to the terminal through a primary carrier to transmit and receive data traffic through the activated secondary carrier.
Apparatus and method for processing bluetooth data in portable terminal
An apparatus and a method for processing Bluetooth data in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a first control unit for transmitting a predetermined data transmission condition, a second control unit for receiving and storing the data transmission condition, for determining whether the data transmission condition is satisfied when data is received from an accessory through Bluetooth communication, and for transmitting the received data to the first control unit when the data transmission condition is satisfied as a result of the determination.
UE ASSISTED CDRX FALLBACK
Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for DRX adjustment are provided. An example method includes receiving, from a base station, a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for the UE based on one or more DRX preferences. The example method further includes adjusting one or more parameters of the DRX configuration in response to a trigger at the UE. The example method further includes transmitting assistance information to the base station, the assistance information including the one or more parameters adjusted by the UE.
RADIO FREQUENCY ENERGY HARVESTING INDICATION SIGNAL
This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for harvesting radio frequency (RF) energy based on an energy harvesting EH indication signal. A transmitting device such as a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an EH indication signal that indicates a time period when radio frequency (RF) energy is to be available. The UE may receive the EH indication signal and harvest RF energy from the RF signal during the time period. The transmitting device may transmit an RF signal to the UE or another UE during the time period. The UE may receive a wake up indication indicating a second time period to monitor a control channel. The UE may split power between energy harvesting and receiving RF signals during the second time period.
