Robust grant-free transmissions

Various arrangements for performing uplink grant-free transmissions are presented herein. An instance of user equipment (UE) may determine data that is to be transmitted using a grant-free (GF) uplink transmission to a base station of a cellular network. The UE may select a first GF resource block and a second GF resource block. The UE may transmit GF transmissions that comprise: a data payload and a first pointer at the first GF resource block; and the data payload and a second pointer at the second GF resource block. The first pointer may refer to the second GF resource block, while the second pointer may refer to the first GP resource block.

TECHNIQUES FOR SELECTING A MINIMUM MEASUREMENT DURATION IN LISTEN-BEFORE-TALK (LBT) SENSING SLOTS FOR HIGH BAND UNLICENSED CHANNEL ACCESS

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for selecting a minimum measurement duration in listen-before-talk (LBT) sensing slots for high band unlicensed channel access. In some examples, a device may select a minimum sensing duration for an LBT procedure according to a sensing bandwidth or an energy threshold (such as an energy detection threshold or an energy power spectral density threshold), or both. As part of the LBT procedure, the device may measure or sense a wireless channel for at least the selected minimum sensing duration in each sensing slot of the LBT procedure. The device may selectively transmit on the wireless channel according to a result of the LBT procedure. For example, the device may either transmit or refrain from transmitting on the wireless channel depending on whether the device senses the wireless channel to be available.

TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION METHOD THEREOF IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20230224968 · 2023-07-13 ·

Disclosed is a method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system that includes identifying that a first uplink channel collides with a second uplink channel and a first downlink channel, resolving a collision between the first uplink channel and the first downlink channel by not transmitting a time unit of the first uplink channel that collides with the first downlink channel in case that a first predefined condition is satisfied, resolving a collision between the first uplink channel and the second uplink channel, and performing a downlink reception or an uplink transmission based on at least one of the first uplink channel, the second uplink channel or the first downlink channel.

DEFERRED HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST (HARQ) FEEDBACK FOR CARRIER SWITCHING
20230224087 · 2023-07-13 ·

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for deferred hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for carrier switching. Some aspects described herein enable a user equipment (UE) to transmit, drop, refrain from transmitting, or a combination thereof, deferred HARQ feedback in various communication scenarios that involve the use of carrier switching. The UE is enabled to continue to defer deferred HARQ feedback, to drop deferred HARQ feedback, to transmit non-deferred HARQ feedback, to drop all HARQ feedback, or to process deferred HARQ feedback using another technique described herein where carrier switching is configured for the UE.

UPLINK RESOURCE AVAILABILITY

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques and devices for uplink gap configuration and determination of uplink resources after uplink gap distribution. Certain aspects are directed to an apparatus for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE). The UE may include a memory comprising instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. In some examples, the instructions may cause the apparatus to obtain, from a base station, an uplink gap pattern (ULGP) configuration indicating a first ULGP associated with a first time window, wherein the first ULGP is indicative of a distribution of one or more uplink slots activated as uplink gaps within the first time window, and wherein the one or more uplink slots are independent from being used for any transmission initiated by the apparatus.

Uplink control information collision handling

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to group transmissions into one or more groups, e.g., of various priority levels and/or types of transmissions. The UE may resolve collisions, e.g., according to one or more procedures described herein. The UE may transmit the transmissions according to the resolutions.

Single-radio multi-channel medium access
11696353 · 2023-07-04 · ·

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to single-radio multi-channel medium access. A device may detect that a primary channel is occupied by a transmission of a first packet by a neighboring station device in an overlapping basic service set (OBSS). The device may detect that a secondary channel is idle. The device may select the secondary channel for packet transmission while the primary channel is occupied by the first packet. The device may cause to send a second packet to a first station device using the secondary channel.

Apparatus and methods for multicarrier unlicensed heterogeneous channel access

Apparatus and methods for multi-carrier or multi-band utilization in an unlicensed wireless network. In one embodiment, the apparatus and methods provide enhanced wireless services which provide enhanced bandwidth capability to 5G NR-U entities such as gNodeB and UE devices across two heterogeneous unlicensed bands having different medium access mechanism and protocols. In one variant, LBT (listen before talk) protocols are used to detect the presence or absence of users within the respective bands of interest. When two or more unoccupied carriers or bands are identified, aggregated operation is used ti enhance the downlink/uplink (DL/UL) transmission bandwidth for the device(s).

Adjust Paging Occasion to Resolve Paging Collision at a Multi-SIM Device
20220394666 · 2022-12-08 ·

A user equipment (UE) includes a first subscriber identification module (SIM) and a second SIM. The UE is configured to establish a first cellular network connection based on, at least, the first SIM and a second cellular network connection based on, at least, the second SIM. The UE detects a collision between i) multiple paging occasions or ii) multiple paging frames. The UE then initiates a procedure for updating a paging occasion for the first cellular network connection. The UE monitors for a page over the first cellular network connection during the paging occasion.

COLLISION HANDLING FOR COMPONENT CARRIER SWITCHING
20220386335 · 2022-12-01 ·

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may group, into a common slot, a first plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a first component carrier and a second plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a second component carrier. The UE may determine whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots. The UE may transmit on the first component carrier or on the second component carrier in the common slot or determine whether to switch a transmit chain based at least in part on whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots. Numerous other aspects are provided.
