The method also includes the UE transmitting multiple RA preambles to a base station of the cell at different occasions for the base station to determine a beam set of the UE. The method further includes the UE starts monitoring a PDCCH for RA response reception from the base station after finishing transmissions of the multiple RA preambles.

The information transmission method in an embodiment of this application includes: acquiring, by a terminal, random access resource configuration information; selecting, by the terminal, a target downlink reference signal according to the random access resource configuration information; and performing, by the terminal, repeated transmission of a random access message according to the target downlink reference signal.
INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK SIDE DEVICE
This application discloses an information transmission method and apparatus, a terminal, and a network side device.
Radio communication method, network side device and user equipment
The present disclosure provides a radio communication method, a user equipment, and a network side device, the radio communication method includes: receiving, by a network side device, a random access preamble signal transmitted by a user equipment, where duration of the random access preamble signal is one SC-FDMA symbol or one OFDM symbol, thus air interface overhead of random access can be greatly reduced in a condition that a user equipment can access a cell randomly. The cell may be a microcell or other similar cells.
Method and apparatus for performing random access procedure in wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for performing a random access (RA) procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) establishes connection with a first node and a second node, and transmits an RA preamble to the second node. If a number of RA preamble transmissions reaches a maximum number, the UE stops uplink (UL) transmission of all cells in a group to which the second node belongs, and transmits an indication indicating that transmission of the RA preamble has failed to the first node.
Dual connectivity
A method of configuring a network node in a wireless telecommunications network to use a secondary cell for dual connectivity communication, a computer program product and network control node operable to perform that method. The method comprises: determining at least one RACH preamble reserved by the secondary cell for use by dual connectivity capable user equipment; identifying user equipment meeting criteria for implementation of dual connectivity communication with the secondary cell; and communicating an allocation of the at least one RACH preamble reserved by the secondary cell for use by dual connectivity capable user equipment to the identified user equipment. Aspects may avoid or mitigate contention experienced by user equipment on RACH and thus may enable fast, contention-free access to a cell. According to some aspects and embodiments, a dedicated preamble can be configured for user equipment identified as a candidate suited to implementation of dual connectivity techniques. Use of a dedicated preamble may, according to some embodiments, both avoid possible contention and also be used, in some embodiments, as a means to identify user equipment by a newly accessed cell, for example, in the case of RRC connected user equipment.
Device and method for communication using a common identifier
A communications device, communicating data via a mobile radio network, includes a transmitter/receiver communicating data to/from a mobile radio network via a wireless access interface, and a module storing information identifying the communications device to the mobile radio network, the stored information including a same common identifier in each of an associated group of communications devices, the common identifier to establish communications sessions to communicate data to/from any of the associated communications devices. The group of communications devices may communicate machine type communications for a particular application, for example disposed in a vehicle, to report certain parameters. With spatial proximity of the communications devices, each can receive control plane signalling data and accordingly communication of signalling data is as if broadcast to a local environment in which the group of communications devices are disposed, to save communications bandwidth proportional to the number of devices in the group.
Random access procedures in wireless system
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may detect cell congestion by selecting a preamble type as a function of priority level, transmitting the preamble to a serving cell, receiving a random access response (RAR) from the serving cell, determining a congestion state of the serving cell as a function of the received RAR, and/or responding to the congestion state of the serving cell. RACH functionality may be improved by allocating one or more sets of Physical RACH (PRACH) resources to a WTRU. The WTRU may configure the additional PRACH resources based on the allocation. A WTRU may determine a second set of PRACH resources based at least in part on a first set of PRACH resources. A WTRU may determine additional sets of PRACH preambles and may utilize modified PRACH preambles and/or modified PRACH preamble formats. The WTRU may signal additional PRACH resources.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING RANDOM ACCESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a 5.sup.th Generation (5G) or pre-5G system to be provided to support a higher data transfer rate after a 4G communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present invention is for performing random access in a wireless communication system, and a base station includes a communication unit for transmitting system information including a plurality of thresholds, and a control unit for determining a random access result for each mode on the basis of a detection result on a preamble transmitted from at least one terminal.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SIGNAL FOR MTC AND APPARATUS FOR SAME
A method for receiving system information by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting coverage enhancement, the method includes receiving, by the UE, a first system information block (SIB) from a base station, the first SIB including scheduling information indicating resource block information and transport block size information for a second SIB; and repeatedly receiving, by the UE, the second SIB from the base station based on the indicated resource block information and transport block size information.
