Call flow system and method for use in a legacy telecommunication system
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
System, method, and apparatus for using alternative numbers for routing voice calls and short messages in a communications network
A system, method and computer-readable medium for allowing the use of an alternative numbering plan for delivering short messages to mobile subscribers using the public mobile telephone network is provided. Users of an enterprise or other closed networks as well as users that are not part of a closed network may send short messages destined to members of an enterprise or closed network from their mobile or other devices associated with their subscription using an alternative enterprise directory number, such as the office number, instead of the mobile number, such that the alternative number will be presented at the destination device as the originating number. The recipient may respond to the message by addressing the response to the enterprise or closed network number, and the response may be delivered to the originator's mobile or other device associated with their subscription.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXECUTING ORIGINATING SERVICES IN A TERMINATING NETWORK FOR IMS AND NON-IMS APPLICATIONS
A mobile application gateway for connecting devices on a cellular network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks and/or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise. The invention may consist of a primarily of core network and services components based on the IMS network architecture, and is backward compatible to support legacy systems in place in current telecom and data networks.
TIERED RE-ALLOCATION OF WIRELESS CHANNELS
A tiered service management resource providing management of wireless channels in a network environment receives notification of wireless bandwidth such as multiple wireless channels allocated by a spectrum access system (a.k.a., SAS). The spectrum access system allocates the wireless channels for use by a wireless base station in the network environment. Prior to re-allocating the wireless bandwidth (such as a selected wireless channel) to customer premises equipment, the tiered service management resource further receives a communication indicating a wireless spectrum scan performed at a location from which customer premises equipment in the network environment is (being) installed to wirelessly communicate with the wireless base station. Based on an identified fixed wireless service tier (or level) assigned to the customer premises equipment and supplemental information such as the wireless spectrum scan, the tiered service management resource allocates a selected wireless channel from SAS-assigned bandwidth for use by the customer premises equipment.
Method and system for managing enriched call data in communication network
Embodiments herein disclose a method for managing enriched call data in a communication network. The method includes receiving an enriched call data from at least one enriched data channel, receiving at least one voice call data from at least one voice data channel from at least one mobile originator, wherein the at least one voice call data includes a header including a unique composer identifier, mapping the at least one voice call data to the enriched call data based on the unique composer identifier, and identifying an association of the at least one mobile originator with the enriched call data and the at least one voice call data based on the mapping.
INSTALLATION OF A PRIVATE MOBILE RADIOCOMMUNICATION NETWORK, METHOD FOR FORMING SUCH AN INSTALLATION AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM
A private mobile radio network installation includes a plurality of devices each including a local private mobile radio network infrastructure including a core network module, a subscriber server and a base station module; a management system; and a network interface; wherein the devices are connected therebetween via their network interfaces, and wherein the management systems are configured to choose one of the devices; and connect the base station module of each device to the core network module of the chosen device to form a distributed private mobile radio network infrastructure.

LOW-POWER NETWORK NODE FOR A LOW-POWER, WIDE AREA (LPWA) INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) SYSTEM
A gateway includes memory configured to store computer-readable program code; and processing circuitry configured to access the memory and execute the computer-readable program code. The gateway is connected or connectable to a low-power wide area (LPWA) network. The gateway is caused to transmit a common timing reference at a constant interval that delineates an epoch including timeslots assignable to network nodes and a free-for-all interval. The gateway is also caused to join a network node to the LPWA network based on the common timing reference and is further caused to receive a join message including a measure of received signal strength or quality of the common timing reference at the network node. The gateway is also caused to assign one or more timeslots within the epoch, a frequency, a channel, or a modulation to the network node based on the measure of received signal strength or other quality.
