A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.

A mobile application gateway configured to interconnect mobile communication devices on a cellular network with an enterprise network is provided. The mobile application gateway includes a voice and data signaling gateway configured to provide routing functionalities, service functionalities and admission control. A multitenant private communication system and a method for providing mobility and access control across tenant boundaries in the multitenant private communication system. The method includes receiving a first connection request from a user device for connection to first network infrastructure of a first tenant and establishing a connection between the user device and a first private sub-network of the first tenant through the first network infrastructure. The method further includes receiving a second connection request from the user device for connection to second network infrastructure of a second tenant of the multitenant private communication system and determining whether the second network infrastructure is a guest network infrastructure of the user device. The method also includes establishing a connection between the user device and the first private sub-network through the second network infrastructure when the second network infrastructure is the guest network infrastructure of the user device.
