The thermostat may include a base, a bimetallic disk, and a conductive spring. The base may extend axially between a first end and a second end. The bimetallic disk may be disposed within the base. The conductive spring may be disposed within the base in biased engagement with the bimetallic disk to motivate the bimetallic disk towards the first end within the base. The conductive spring may include a first layer and a second layer. The first layer may extend from a contact end proximal to the bimetallic disk to a joinder end connected to the first terminal. The second layer may extend from a biasing end proximal to the bimetallic disk to a secured end fixed within the base.

The thermostat may be positioned radially inward from the shroud cover. A continuous circumferential thermal break may be defined as a radial gap within the axial hole between the thermostat and the shroud cover. The heat transfer disk may be attached to the thermostat at the distal end of the thermostat and extend radially outward above the shroud cover.

A heating device for a system for distributing windshield washer fluid of a motor vehicle. The heating device may include a sleeve comprising two flow channels for distributing the windshield washer fluid, the two flow channels being parallel to one another. The heating device may include at least two heating conductors embedded in a mass of the sleeve. The heating device may include a current regulator controlling the current flowing in the heating conductors as a function of a temperature of said heating conductors.

Switch for a cooking appliance

A switch for operating a heating element of a cooking appliance includes a first contact electrically connected with the heating element, a second contact electrically connected with a power source. A bimetal strip is configured to electrically connect and disconnect the first and second contacts. The switch further includes a rotatable cam member having a cam surface for operative engagement with a cam follower. The cam surface has a profile dimension that is at least partially variable about the rotational axis of the cam member and is configured to cause displacement of the cam follower as a function of its rotational orientation to thereby adjust an operating temperature of the heating element. The cam surface is configured such that the operating temperature can be adjusted up to but not beyond a predetermined maximum temperature via rotation of the cam member. Circuits incorporating such a switch also are disclosed.

In an embodiment a relay includes a first contact, a second contact, a movable element arrangeable in a closed position and in an open position; and at least one bimetallic strip, wherein the movable element electrically connects the first contact to the second contact in the closed position, wherein the first contact and the second contact are electrically isolated from each other when the movable element is arranged in the open position, and wherein the at least one bimetallic strip is configured to be deformed upon an increase in temperature such that it presses the movable element against the first and second contacts after deformation.
