A collapsible pet carrier includes: an interior space defined between opposing side walls, opposing end walls, a bottom wall, and a top wall. One of the walls may be opened to allow access to the interior space. An expandable rigid board is located at least partially within one the walls. In an expanded configuration of the pet carrier the board is located substantially along a length of one of the walls to provide support to the collapsible pet carrier when the collapsible pet carrier is expanded. In a collapsed configuration of the pet carrier the board extends along less than half of the length of one of the walls to allow the pet carrier to be folded along one of the opposing side walls, opposing end walls, bottom wall, and top wall.

A door is disposed on the door frame, and the door is pivotally moveable relative to the door frame between an open position and a closed position. A latch is disposed on the door. The enclosure includes first, second, third and fourth feet protruding downwardly from the bottom of the kennel body. In some embodiments, each foot is a separate component installed on the kennel body.

The door system disclosed herein includes a frame and a door fabricated from a plurality of horizontal and vertical wire rods. The door may have an inverted hook which is aligned to a horizontal wire rod of the frame when the door is pivoted to the closed position. To close the door, the door is dropped so that the horizontal wire rod of the frame is traversed into the inverted hook. At this point, the animal inside of the pet crate cannot open the door by pushing the door. Rather, the door must be raised so that the inverted hook clears the horizontal wire rod of the frame to pivot the door to the opened position.

An inner side of each of the two ends of the rear frame is provided with a vertical edge strip. One end of each of the left panel and the right panel is connected to the vertical edge strip through a rotatable connector, and the other end is connected to the front frame. The top cover is connected to the front frame through a connector.

The door also includes a third latch having a third latch bolt engaging the door frame at a third latch location. In some embodiments, the first latch bolt extends horizontally toward the door frame, and the second and third latch bolts extend substantially vertically from the door toward the door frame in opposite directions.

The present wire enclosure includes a door formed of wire and a wall formed of wire. The door includes a door catch. The wall includes a wall catch. The respective catches engage and disengage each other through the employment of a vertical slide having the door catch. A finger receptor when pulled up in turn pulls up the vertical slide to disengage the catches. When in a down position, the finger receptor prevents the vertical slide from being pulled up.
