Three-dimensional structure containing volatile chemical
A three-dimensional structure is provided which is obtained by molding a volatile chemical-containing resin composition into a plate form, wherein the three-dimensional structure includes through-holes penetrating therethrough from the front to the back thereof, the through-holes have peripheries having a shape selected from polygonal, circular, circular arc and spiral shapes when the three-dimensional structure is viewed from the front, and the peripheries of the through-holes are formed on a single plane or on a smoothly curved imaginary surface.
Device for evaporating a volatile fluid
An assembly for evaporating a volatile fluid is described, the assembly including a device and a refill which are detachable from one another: wherein the device includes a magnetic induction coil configured to operate with an alternating current passed therethrough at a frequency of between substantially 20 KHz to substantially 500 KHz and a volatile fluid transport part receiving area containing at least one piece of heat-conducting, non-magnetic metal foil and/or deposited heat-conducting, non-magnetic metal;
and wherein the refill includes a reservoir for the volatile fluid, a volatile fluid transport part to draw the fluid from the reservoir, and at least one magnetic susceptor having a coercivity of substantially 50 ampere/meter (H.sub.c) to substantially 1500 ampere/meter (H.sub.c).arranged to heat the wick predominately by magnetic hysteresis when an alternating current is passed through the induction coil, wherein the refill is attached to the device such that at least one magnetic susceptor is at least partially located within the volatile fluid transport part receiving area. Refills, devices and methods of operation are also described.
WICKING DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING FRAGRANCE HAVING A FLOW CHANNEL
A device has a container for a substance to be dispensed. A wick as a capillary element in contact with the substance in the container and forms part of the container. The wick has a wick-side substance dispensing area. A heating element produces a substance air flow, which is enriched with substance and flows away from the device, by heating the wick-side substance dispensing area and a substantially substance-free hot air flow that flows away from the device and is warmer than the substance air flow, by heating the air surrounding the heating element. A flow-guiding and/or deflecting apparatus guides and/or deflects at least one of the air flows, preferably the substance-free hot air flow, such that the air flows hit each other, preferably at a defined angle of incidence, and form a common substance-and-hot-air flow flowing away from the device.
WICKING DEVICE FOR EVAPORATION OF A FRAGRANCE WITH A WICK HOLDER
A device for the release, in particular for evaporation, of volatile substances such as fragrances or active substances, has a container for a substance to be released. At least one wick as a capillary element is in contact with the substance to be released and at least partially in the receptacle and has a substance release region. The wick, preferably its substance release region, is assigned a heating element, preferably an electrical heating element. The wick is assigned a squeezing device with a squeezing element, by which a squeezing region of the wick can be subjected to a squeezing force and/or can be compressed, in particular for a defined short period of time and/or temporarily. A defined amount of substance, in particular at least the substance collected in the squeezing region, can be conveyed with a boost in the direction of the substance release region.
TRASH RECEPTACLE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A receptacle which includes a body, a lid, and a deodorizing and sanitizing mechanism. The body may have an open upper region, a lower region, and an internal cavity, with the lid being pivotally coupled to a first portion of the open upper region of the body, the lid configured to close the open upper region of the body, and the deodorizing and sanitizing mechanism being removably attached or built within body to a second portion of the open upper region of the body. The deodorizing and sanitizing mechanism is configured to lessen malodorous and unsanitary conditions inside the receptacle. The receptacle further including an illumination device that is designed to provide light to the receptacle. The trash receptacle system is useful for deodorizing and sanitizing a trash receptacle.
Arthropod Repellent or Attractant Liquid Reservoir with Fill Indicator
A progressive liquid fill capacity indicator located inside a vapor diffusion membrane liquid reservoir that utilizes index refraction matching of liquid contact to components, dyes, and surface tension gradients. This fill capacity indicator is low cost and reliable. It enables users to visually assess readiness and remaining liquid capacity to deliver attraction, masking, and repulsion scent vapors from wearable and stationary devices to repel or attract mosquitos and arthropods.
Refill and method of emitting two or more compositions from a refill
A refill comprises, a container having a body forming a reservoir and an opening in communication with the reservoir, a first composition disposed within the reservoir, a second composition disposed within the reservoir and substantially separated from the first composition, a single wick in contact with the first and second compositions and configured to sequentially emit the first and second compositions. A method of emitting the first and second compositions includes the steps of emitting the first composition until the first composition is substantially depleted and emitting the second composition after the first composition is substantially depleted.
Volatile composition dispenser with increased membrane exposure and volatile composition weight loss
A volatile composition dispenser includes a housing having an aperture and having opposing first and second walls that are joined along their peripheries to one another, where said second wall has a plurality of apertures; a volatile composition cartridge disposed within the housing between said first and second walls; and a gap, which exists between said volatile composition cartridge and a bottom surface of the housing, wherein said bottom surface is formed from a base portion of one or both of the first and second walls. Upon activation, the exposure percentage is greater than 40%.
Liquid release device
A hollow container is combined with a burstable envelope retaining a liquid agent. The container is designed to allow a user to open the envelope by bursting or likewise rupturing the envelope while it remains in the container. The design of the envelope provides a predictable bursting location and a lower bursting pressure of the envelope to provide a more controlled release of liquid agent. Bursting forces may be applied in any of a variety of ways just as by twisting or crushing. The design allows for desired use of beneficial envelope materials such as polyester films that are otherwise difficult to rupture.
Insect repellent fixture and method
A fixture (100) for gradually releasing a spatially effective semiochemical, for example a repellant. The fixture includes a slotted tube (140), that may be formed for example, from a porous material, a peripheral tube (102) having a plurality of apertures and disposed outward from the slotted tube, a base (110) that engages the slotted tube and the outer tube, a funnel member (160) that engages a top end of the slotted tube and the peripheral tube, and a cap (130). In an embodiment the base includes a lighting element (150).
