DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
The device for evaporating volatile substances comprises a porous mat (1) impregnated with volatile substances, a heating element (2) that heats the porous mat (1) for evaporating the volatile substances, and a reflective element (3) for reflecting the heat from the heating element (2) to said porous mat (1), wherein the reflective element (3) forms a cavity defined by a bottom and side walls where the porous mat (1) and the heating element (2) are placed.
Thanks to this feature, the reflective element reflects or redirects the heat radiation from the heating element back towards the porous mat where the volatile substances are impregnated, and the heat energy that is going away from the porous mat is reflected back to the porous mat, so that a heating element which consumes less energy can be used for the same evaporation capacity.
DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
The device for evaporating volatile substances comprises a container (1) housing a liquid with the volatile substances, and wick (2) in contact with said liquid and extending outside said container (1), wherein the device also comprises a porous element (3) placed inside the container (1) that is impregnated with said liquid with the volatile substances.
The presence of the porous element inside the container permits to place the evaporation device according to the present invention in any suitable position, preventing the leakage of the liquid and still allowing its correct performance.
DEVICE FOR DIFFUSING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
The device for diffusing volatile substances includes a container which contains a material with said volatile substances, a porous diffuser which is impregnated with said material with the volatile substances, and a protective sheet which is removed before the first use of the diffusion device. The device also includes a barrier layer equipped with a window, with said barrier layer joined to the container and placed between the porous diffuser and the protective sheet. Due to the presence of the window, the volatile substances are diffused at a high diffusion rate from the moment the protective sheet is removed.
DIFFUSER OF VOLATILE LIQUID SUBSTANCES EQUIPPED WITH A VAPOR PERMEABLE MEMBRANE, ACTIVATED AT THE TIME OF USE
Disclosed is a diffuser of a volatile liquid substance of the type including a container of the volatile liquid substance, closed by at least one membrane permeable to the vapours of the volatile liquid substance, wherein the container is at least partly flexible and contains a plurality of capsules filled with the volatile liquid substance and made of a pressure-breakable plastic material impermeable to liquid and vapour. The permeable membrane is in direct contact with the external environment.
POLYMER COMPOSITION
A method of impregnating a polymer composition with an active compound or composition using liquid carbon dioxide, in order for the active compound or composition to be later released from the polymer composition gradually over a period of time. The polymer composition may comprise polybutylene succinate and pores and/or cavities into which the active compound or composition can be introduced by the method. The method involves exposing the polymer composition to carbon dioxide and the active compound or composition under increased pressure. The polymer composition may be used to form an article for use in repelling or attracting insects, for example wearable insect repellent articles or lures for insect traps. Polymer compositions suitable for use in the method, and articles comprising said polymer compositions and active compounds or compositions are also described. A method of attracting or repelling insects is also described.
A Capsule for Vaporization of a Liquid
A vaporization capsule including a liquid active agent absorbed in or adsorbed to a substrate, which may be operated so as to vaporize the liquid active agent. The vaporization capsule includes a capsule body defining a first volume and a second volume. A first cover sealingly engages the capsule body at a first end thereof. The first cover includes an exterior perimeter, an interior wall including a hollow defined between the exterior perimeter and the interior wall portion, and at least one indentation disposed in the interior wall portion, fluidly connecting the first volume and the second volume via the hollow.
System and method for treating items with insecticide
A system and method for treating items suspected of insect infestation is described. The items are placed in a treatment space inside a treatment container together with a composition comprising one or more volatile components with insecticidal activity. The composition is applied to an absorbent material capable of containing the composition in a treatment amount; and the absorbent material and the composition are enclosed in a diffuser container with perforations covering about 1 to 30% of a surface area of the walls that allow diffusion of the one or more volatile components into the treatment space.
DISPENSER AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A system for consistently emitting a volatile material, the system including a dispenser having at least one aperture, a substrate adapted to fit within the dispenser, and a volatile material. The substrate includes a first woven layer having a first pore size, a second woven layer having a second pore size, and a third, non-woven layer that extends between the first woven layer and the second woven layer. Further, the system has a steady state weight loss of the volatile material over a time greater than 30 days.
SOLID AIR FRESHENER
The present invention relates to a solid pressed air freshener and odor neutralizer composition which can include greater than 10% fragrance. The air freshener comprises a fragrance; preferably the fragrance is impregnated within a water soluble substrate made from a foamed vegetable starch, a surfactant and a solidifier. The solid formulations break down easily in the presence of water and may be sprayed, within the area to be freshened.
Beehive Pest Trap
A beehive pest trap includes a first surface, second surface, and side beams. The side beams are coupled to and support the second surface. The side beams are coupled to and positioned on the first surface. The second surface is coupled to and positioned on the side beams. The first surface, second surface, and side beams form a gate entrance. The second surface is positioned parallel to the first surface. The second surface is wider than the first surface. The gate entrance is positioned proximate to an insect trap. The second surface is L-shaped. The trap also includes a screen and a trap drawer. The first surface comprises a lateral side. The lateral side and the side beam form a cavity. The trap door is slidably positioned in the cavity. The insect trap includes the trap drawer. The second surface includes a pest door slidably coupled thereto.
