Beehive pest trap
A beehive pest trap includes a first surface, second surface, and side beams. The side beams are coupled to and support the second surface. The side beams are coupled to and positioned on the first surface. The second surface is coupled to and positioned on the side beams. The first surface, second surface, and side beams form a gate entrance. The second surface is positioned parallel to the first surface. The second surface is wider than the first surface. The gate entrance is positioned proximate to an insect trap. The second surface is L-shaped. The trap also includes a screen and a trap drawer. The first surface comprises a lateral side. The lateral side and the side beam form a cavity. The trap door is slidably positioned in the cavity. The insect trap includes the trap drawer. The second surface includes a pest door slidably coupled thereto.
Solid air freshener
The present invention relates to a solid pressed air freshener and odor neutralizer composition which can include greater than 10% fragrance. The air freshener comprises a fragrance; preferably the fragrance is impregnated within a water soluble substrate made from a foamed vegetable starch, a surfactant and a solidifier. The solid formulations break down easily in the presence of water and may be sprayed, within the area to be freshened.
VOLATILE SUBSTANCE DIFFUSER
The present invention relates to a volatile substance diffuser, where said diffuser comprises a reservoir (10) containing the volatile substances, characterized in that it is formed from a sheet (11) provided with a plurality of fold lines, said sheet (11) comprising a first face (1) on which said reservoir (10) is fixed; a second face (2) which supports the diffuser upright in a use position together with said first face (1); and a third face (3) provided with a hole (12) for hanging the diffuser.
The present invention allows providing a volatile substance diffuser which prevents using a container housing said diffuser.
Aromatherapy device
An aromatherapy device may define a plurality of wells arranged in an array to be filled with fluid as scented pairs such that two adjacent wells may be positioned beneath nostrils of a user while resting a portion of the device against the upper lip. The wells may be formed in respective cylinders positioned between the portion of the device that is designed to rest against the lip. There may be a plurality of wells that face a first direction and that face an opposite second direction. The wells may be similar shaped and sized so as to receive similarly viscous fluids therein having different scents associate therewith. The viscosity of the fluids should be high enough to resist the pull of gravity and preclude the fluid from flowing out of the well when the device is positioned upside down and some of the wells are, at least temporarily, downwardly facing.
ORGANIC METABOLITE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE AS MITICIDES FOR HONEY BEES
A miticide treatment strip and methods of use for controlling Varroa destructor parasitic mites in honey bee colonies using acidic compounds containing organic metabolites or mixtures thereof as miticidal agents. Miticidal agents are introduced into beehives in solid or crystalline solid form by way of hanging treatment strips coated with the miticidal agent. Use of organic metabolites eliminates mite resistance, honey contamination, bee mortality, and other common drawbacks of current mite management treatments, and can be used without regard to ambient air temperature, brood, and nectar cycle limitations.
System and method for detecting non-contact repellency of a compound candidate from Drosophila
An assay system for a repellent includes transparent tubing having end chambers; a central testing area positioned between the end chambers; small openings between the central testing area and end chambers; absorbent material positioned adjacent to the openings and being soaked in either a control substance or a repellent; and fruit flies are introduced into the central testing area and allowed to migrate through the openings and into either end chamber.
DRY DIFFUSER APPARATUS AND METHOD
A dry diffuser is disclosed which avoids safety and transport issues typical of liquid diffusers, candles and wax melts and provides systematic controlled diffusion of fragrance (or other active material) over relatively long periods with a programmable user interface.
Devices and methods for controlling insects
Devices and methods for controlling insects are generally described. Typically, the devices include a fiber web comprising a plurality of glass fibers or other substrate made of non-absorptive material impregnated or otherwise loaded with an insect control composition comprising an active insecticidal species (e.g., a pyrethroid such as Transfluthrin). The devices provide protection against arthropods or other insects over prolonged periods of time. Such devices may be lightweight, low-cost, reusable, and disposable, and can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes.
VOLATILE MEDIUM DELIVERY DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USE
A volatile medium delivery system, comprising a housing, a barrier element engageable with the housing, and a substrate having a volatile medium absorbed therein, wherein the substrate is engageable with the housing and positionable with respect to the housing to control a predetermined release rate of volatile medium to an external environment.
