Wicking device for evaporation of a fragrance with a wick holder
A device for the release, in particular for evaporation, of volatile substances such as fragrances or active substances, has a container for a substance to be released. At least one wick as a capillary element is in contact with the substance to be released and at least partially in the receptacle and has a substance release region. The wick, preferably its substance release region, is assigned a heating element, preferably an electrical heating element. The wick is assigned a squeezing device with a squeezing element, by which a squeezing region of the wick can be subjected to a squeezing force and/or can be compressed, in particular for a defined short period of time and/or temporarily. A defined amount of substance, in particular at least the substance collected in the squeezing region, can be conveyed with a boost in the direction of the substance release region.
Device for dispersing in the air a vapor of a liquid substance
A device for dispersing in the air in the vapor state and a substance that is in the liquid state at ambient temperature, and is contained in a storage container, has a ventilation system with a duct that opens out into the open air and is configured to permit the passage of a flow of air into the duct; at least one dispensing unit is designed to be supplied with a liquid substance by the storage container, the dispensing unit having micro-ducts forming an outlet is provided in the duct in order to constitute an area of evaporation of the substance therein, and a heating unit is provided on or in the dispensing unit, such as to control a flow of the substance through the dispensing unit.
CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED INTO FAN HAVING VOLATILIZING FUNCTION OF REPELLENT SUBSTANCE IN A STRIP
A constructive arrangement introduced into fan having volatilizing function of repellent substance in a strip. The arrangement has a strip containing a substance to be dispersed into the environment is disposed at the front part of the supporting column of the fan, beneath the perimeter of its propellers, creating a pressure difference which provides for the propagation of the dispersion of the substance into the environment, and where the supporting column of the fan, besides acting as a barrier against air flows produced in the environment, preventing the dilution of the volatilized mist, will also enable the enclosure of the electrical wires used in the connections, making energizing the volatilizing combination much easier, more practical and economical.
Insect trap device and method of using
In an embodiment, as insect trap is disclosed including: a trap portion including a frame and a membrane having an adhesive surface, wherein the membrane is at least partially contained within the frame and is configured to adhere to an insect; and a base portion including a lighting element and a housing portion, wherein the housing portion is configured to receive and retain the trap portion when engaged therewith.
INSECT CONTROL COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to an insect control composition comprising geraniol, at least 0.005 wt. % of pyrethrum, based on the total weight of the composition, optionally at least one active selected from the group consisting of p-Menthane-3,8-diol, peppermint oil, thymol, eucalyptus oil, citronella oil, basil oil, citral, lemongrass oil, and combinations thereof, and a solvent; wherein the weight ratio between the geraniol to the pyrethrum and optionally the at least one active is between 0.25:1 and 50:1. The invention further relates to an insect control product comprising said insect control composition and an emanation device. The invention also relates to a use of said insect control composition or said insect control product to kill, knockdown and/or repel insects.
SOLVENT FOR INSECT REPELLENT ACTIVE INGREDIENT AND INSECT REPELLENT SYSTEM USING SAME
An insect repellent system includes an active insect repellent ingredient and a glycol solvent as part of a thermally activated dispersion using a wick and a heater. The active ingredient may be a pyrethroid insecticide or a natural insect repellent material. The glycol solvent includes at least two hydroxyl groups and may be a mixture of glycol solvents. In one solvent mixture, a combination of hexylene glycol and dipropylene glycol are combined with a pyrethroid insecticide of either metofluthrin or transfluthrin. The insect repellent system may be a portable insect repellent system formed from thermoplastic materials and rely on battery power to generate heat.
Forced Air Pesticide Vaporizer with Heatsink Vaporization Chamber and Offset Exhaust Chamber
An apparatus for vaporizing and dispensing a pesticide features an elongated body structure, and heatsink attached to the elongated body structure at a distal end thereof. A loading port on the elongated structure feeds solid pesticide material into a closed-ended vaporization chamber inside the heatsink via a delivery passage running longitudinally of the elongated structure. A heater is operably arranged with the heatsink to vaporize the solid pesticide material. The heatsink interior features a second exhaust chamber that is radially offset from the vaporization chamber, and is only fluidly communicated therewith by a radial port near the end of the vaporization chamber fed by the delivery passage. The loaded solid pesticide falls past the radial port into the vaporization chamber, while the resulting vapor is forced through the radial port into the exhaust chamber by pressurized air fed through the delivery passage.
Device for creating and distributing vaporized scent
A scent vaporizing and distribution device uses an electric heating element to rapidly vaporize a liquid scent material. An airflow generator is used to create a distribution airflow that distributes the vapor from the device. The airflow generator can be an electric-powered fan or a manually-powered pump or squeezable bladder. The liquid scent material can include a glycol or a water-glycol mixture. A scent material such as liquid or powdered deer urine or a pleasant scent that can be used as a room or automobile or room freshener is mixed with the liquid. The vapor generator can be removable and replaceable such that different scents can be used with a single airflow generator or an empty generator can be replaced.
WICKING DEVICE FOR EVAPORATING FRAGRANCE HAVING A FLOW CHANNEL
A device has a container for a substance to be dispensed. A wick as a capillary element in contact with the substance in the container and forms part of the container. The wick has a wick-side substance dispensing area. A heating element produces a substance air flow, which is enriched with substance and flows away from the device, by heating the wick-side substance dispensing area and a substantially substance-free hot air flow that flows away from the device and is warmer than the substance air flow, by heating the air surrounding the heating element. A flow-guiding and/or deflecting apparatus guides and/or deflects at least one of the air flows, preferably the substance-free hot air flow, such that the air flows hit each other, preferably at a defined angle of incidence, and form a common substance-and-hot-air flow flowing away from the device.
